One is a HP Compaq CQ-60, other is a HP NX9000 with a bust HDD.
anyone know an easy way to make 100 bucks. i wanna get a r9 290 instead of a 770 on my new build, and its bringing me 100 bucks over budget.
Find a street corner, or donate semen and plasma.

i'm too young to do that :(
After reading some reviews of donations centers thinking about donating some myself, I found one hell of a review. Not sure if I should post it though. :v:

I'd love to donate blood, but most countries still have the stupid idea that all gays have HIV
Pretty sure America doesn't care, as long as you're blood is clean.
In the US, the current guidance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is to indefinitely defer any male donor who has had sex with another man, in the period from 1977 to the present day
really.
*no donations for gays*
It says has sex with another man, what if I only ever had sex with several men at once?
garbage about gays being restricted from donating fluids
That's bullshit, but unless gaydar tech has gotten better in the last few years, couldn't you just go "yup, i'm straight. it sure is great having sex in the missionary position for the sole purpose of reproduction, huh, fellow heterosexual?"
[editline]26th December 2013[/editline]
I can't even remember my blood type, but I think I'm 0- which means I can get mad cash from blood donations in some countries
Paying for blood donations? Sounds a bit like an oxymoron.
I mean, this blood is going to people in car accidents or whatever, it should be given free of charge. Semen on the other hand isn't used in life threatening situations. From what I know, at least.

The only situations are usually followed by "Trust me I'm a doctor"

I don't think they pay you for Blood, but they DO pay for Blood Plasma.

Yeah, I was considering that one. It looks nice and performs really quietly, it doesn't look like I could add on a second fan for push-pull though unless I'm mistaken.
your blood and sperm isnt worse in any way if youre gay
Your blood is rainbows and your sperm contains gay cells which would 100% make the person who is born from it gay.
Damn christmas, out of all the things I got for christmas this year, I like my socks the most :v:

There are 2 fan ones for around £50 if you could go slightly over budget, but I think you're right.
From the continuing adventures of Complete Fucktard Programmer-Marketer-Manager:
So at one client site everything suddenly started going to shit, performance-wise. This is unusual mostly because this time, it's been about two days since anyone touched anything, including the CFPMM. The last thing that had been done to the configuration was adding "a few" actions to the subsystem written and mainly used by the CFPMM. "A few" turned out to be forty, and they'd been scheduled to run every five minutes, but it still didn't quite make sense.
I eventually narrow it down to a certain query of the form:
DELETE FROM cfpmm_subsystem_log WHERE date < '2013-12-12'
That query is kicked off twice (see my last bit of CFPMM content) every time the cfpmm_subsystem library is loaded, with the intent of clearing out logs older than two weeks. Valid business logic, but pretty poor design to have it run like that when we have a system for running things on a daily basis, but why is it so slow?
Well, for one, unlike other client sites with a few hundred entries, this log had 50,000 entries in it, due to 40 actions being logged every five minutes. And these aren't small rows - average of 80kb per row, due to more fuck-tardedness. And there was no index on the relevant date column - so it was doing a full table scan. Eighty of them, every five minutes. None of them were deleting anything, because 90% of the logs were from the past few days.
Once the performance got bad enough that a single run of all those scheduled actions took more than five minutes, performance drove off a cliff. See, due to the simplistic nature of our scheduling system, if it's scheduled to run every X minutes, a new run will kick off every X minutes even if there's already a run in progress (this one is my fault, but in my defense the original spec was a maximum frequency of once an hour). So the performance available to each process halved, then halved again, until the customers called us and complained.
So I've added the indexes, made a quick commit to cut the delete span to five days, "fix the delete logic" has been put on the to-do list, and I've made renewed promises to shit in the CFPMM's Porsche next time he dares show his face at our office.

No not just some random website. The fucking main website. THE WHOLE FUCKING SITE!

Oh, I have the Emergency Phone this week as well (a cheap flip phone we trade off once a week for handling emergencies). It actually rang for the first time while I had it on Christmas.
Somebody had a wrong number.
