I got paid $20 to do fuckall at work today. Apparently they deleted my login from the Active Directory controller trying to get rid of a duplicate login. Obviously, the best course of action if you find a duplicate is that you delete both accounts. And that took them two hours to figure out what happened and get me a new account.

Win8 frequency reporting is pants on head retarded. I get 6.26 Ghz under full load on my 2500k, even though my overclock is only like 3.8 or so.
62C is perfectly fine, its well under the 95C spec. And I'd say 1.3 is acceptable for a near 1 Ghz overclock.

Tape silo was bitching about mismatched firmware in everything so I spent a few hours going through IBM's support and reflashing everything. It all went fine until I got to the LTO drives. One is OEM's from Dell, the other from Exabyte. BOTH of them rejected the new firmware and fell into a state where the server could see and use them but the silo could only say they were present but had no clue what to do with them.

So I finally got a smart phone (was rocking an EnV 2 and an iPod Touch 3rd gen before). It's an LG Optimus L9, which is apparently pretty comparable to a Galaxy S2. $100 each (unlocked), and only $90 a month for 3 phones with unlimited talk/text and 500mb of 4G each (apparently throttles down to 3G afterward? The guy at the store said something along the lines of "If you go over your phones will be shut off" but their website says otherwise) through a company called MetroPCS. I'd never heard of it but it's a subsidiary of T-Mobile so therefore uses their towers. I get about three bars of 4G at my house which is not bad.
I've only ever seen MetroPCS phones at walmart. Probably like a pay as you go plan.
