What would you say would be a good price to charge someone to build a computer?
$50? Then do a real proper job.
What would you say would be a good price to charge someone to build a computer?
Well, let's say it takes 3 hours to do, I'd say something like 40-60$ is fair. Also, SkyDrive is infinitely better than Google drive when it comes to sharing video, I just found out. Look at this delicious unprocessed video, for example https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resid=51973F926DD3EF04!3607&authkey=!AHGnggVFZR8Mj-I&ithint=video%2c.MP4 Google would've done like YouTube and made it into three different resolutions, all at 30FPS. Which means it'll take time AND degrade the video. So fuck that.

It's really ideal for photos and videos. Even tries to OCR from photos (But it's like YT's auto captions. Pretty useless). I have 47GB of space. 7 because stock storage, paid for 20GB, got another 20GB from my Lumia. I get the impression they just have a fuckload of space left over, so set up Skydrive, could do all of it for free but decide to make a buck from it :v:

I got it back before the relaunch, so I got 25GB free. But extra space can't really hurt.

I think I got one of the drives flashed. Thankfully it's the LTO3. The old LTO2 though still won't reflash back to IBM from its Dell firmware so I'll just have to disable it until I can replace it with another LTO3 drive.

There's no office suite to open your word documents, Excel spreadsheet and PowerPoint presentations. You'd have to use a third party app like OfficeSuite Pro 6 or something. With Google Drive you can edit in app or choose a different app to create and edit. Then you have the multi person editing that's been around for Google drive. Not sure if Microsoft Office has this or not. It's something super useful for Collab stuff with others and it's really efficient. Plus theirs chat. The actual file browsing between the two services is pretty much the same, I can change permissions and move stuff around on both easily. Now when on a desktop I also use Google drive to type up assignments and the like but of course I can't do fancy stuff so I'd use Microsoft Office word and make the document look better before actually printing. And it's a lot easier to bring a USB around with your word document to print than to log into Google and then off moments later. That's a bit of my work flow. I don't want to lose stuff so I type the main content of the document on Drive. If it's a group project, Google Drive is awesome for it. My work flow for work is just a lot more efficient with Google Drive, I can pretty much type on a computer, then if I have to go somewhere I can edit on the go and continue where I left off at. Even while on the throne. I'll later try the Web app for Microsoft Word soon enough this year but logging into both is annoying since I'm always on shared computers (no personal desktop or laptop). I have 25GB of storage on skydive but I pretty much never use it. I never found the need for it and Google drive took the podium with the online document editors. Now there's Web apps which is Microsoft Office which I'll try to use more often but I've gotten so used to Google drive that it seems like the best thing for me to use as a student. I just wish they had offline editing for Google Drive and (possibly..?) Skydrive. For photos, quick uploads go to imgur while albums go to Flickr and Google+. Stuff from Google Hangouts like photos go into a private album on G+. For videos, it also goes on Flickr since it's 1TB! Or YouTube. Or G+.

Hell, doesn't even exist on WP (Google sure loves to hate WP)
For photos, quick uploads go to imgur while albums go to Flickr and Google+.
GDrive has the same problems on other platforms. Hell, doesn't even exist on WP (Google sure loves to hate WP)
Google Drive on iOS has pretty much the same features as the Android version. Of course the browser version has everything. The mobile version still don't have a full page view (alternately you can open using Office suite pro or quick office), you can't insert hyperlinks and a bunch of other stuff but it's slowly making its way into the mobile platforms. I remember hearing about the YouTube app not being on the windows phone app store. On Windows phone, can you edit your documents and such just like the android / ios version of Google drive? [editline]1st January 2014[/editline]
Can't beat Auto upload then right click > Share.
I avoid using auto upload, not all of the photos I take I want on the cloud. I could be in a Hangouts conversation, take a photo and now it's on two private albums instead of one. And a lot of the photos I take on my 5MP potato of a phone usually isn't worth keeping or sharing anyways, except for notes and stuff.

Mostly fully function, the most you're gonna get out of a phone. But there's no GDrive app for Windows Phone. The only app Google has released is a shitty search app. The Google hate for WP is really hilarious, I mean just read this. Sums it up pretty well. It probably has as much functionality as office suite pro 6 (the office suite app I use often on Android) or more. Still more than Google drive.

FYI: Windows 8.1 Embedded Industry Pro is exactly the same as any other copy of Windows 8.

And i have used android for over 5 years. So smooth no lag. Really like stuff like photobeamer so you can show someone a picture quick. Or here maps is so good! I also like transit here.
I have one too, it apparently goes to "http://b". This is what it shows in the source code. And the lag is getting better, though it should've been completely eradicated around the SGSII.
I liked how Windows Phone functions, but the UI is just too damn boring to look at. I need more than one color to look at.

It's because it's not needed. Windows phone can render 60fps just fine everywhere too. I've been using Android for the last 2.5 years and my experience is mixed, probably because I have a potato phone and haven't used Fast devices extensively enough but I like many things in Android that isn't anywhere else. I'll still try someone else's Windows phone or tablet but I don't see myself getting one myself. Except for a windows laptop. My next phone will be a decent Android phone, hopefully the Moto G soon enough. But my Google maps!
