so how can i listen to window title changes? all the solutions i've found requires tons of code
if there's no simple way i'm just gonna skip it
I need mine too but they've been fitting like shit since that night I got blackout drunk.
I really wish I remember what happened :S Apparently I at least went on like an hour long rant about high school

Bind the title to a property and use PropertyChanged event to subscribe to the title change
(might require tons of code if you need to use NotifyPropertyChanged)

Bind the title? It's the title of another process.
Steam's shitting itself.

Pretty sure I'm connected to the internet.
Bind the title? It's the title of another process.
oh the title of another process? yeah, can't do that
I wrote a shitty little program that does the notifypropertychanged though if you want it
actually maybe you can
[DllImport("user32.dll")]static extern IntPtr FindWindow(string windowClass, string windowName);
[DllImport("user32.dll")]
static extern bool SetWindowText(IntPtr hWnd, string text);
public void startProcess(string path, string title) {
Process.Start(path);
Thread.Sleep(1000); //Wait, the new programm must be full loaded
IntPtr handle = FindWindow("ConsoleWindowClass", path); //get the Handle of the
//console window
SetWindowText(handle, title); //sets the caption
}
So since microsoft is shutting down GFWL or whatever, they apparently just deleted any legacy live accounts. You can now only sign in with an email address (blah@live.com), and I have no option to sign in using only a username.
Fuck GFWL
Exact reason why I hate sales. Everytime there's a big sale the steam servers decide to literally break.
I had a error 500 but it seems to work now.

Ok so I managed to recover the profile from my old hard drive, but now I can't sign in because it's either not tied to an email account, or it's tied to an account that I don't know of.
Who's brilliant idea was it to tie game keys to offline profiles again

no no no man i don't want to start a program or set the title
i just want to have it fire a function every time it changes
i ran into another problem though, how to i terminate a thread before starting a new one? it's whining about it not being declared but that's the point!
if (drawThread.IsAlive == true) drawThread.Abort();
Thread drawThread = new Thread(() => drawBitmap(bmp));

I had a wide screen CRT TV, think it was 720p, for years. Gaming on it was great but you had to sit pretty close to make anything out. Fucked my eyes up a lot more than my newer led TVs now. I tried playing N64 on my new TV though....eugh

That's what I hated about upgrading my TV when I had a PS2. Everything looked amazing. Then I hooked it up the the LCD. Oh god. My eyes.
You guys should consider one of those scanline generators, they're not even that expensive
You guys should consider one of those scanline generators, they're not even that expensive
My new TV is twice as big and full HD so I don't know how much it can do for a Nintedo 64. :P
The only one that was really painful to look at was goldeneye.
GFWL is terrible. Uplay's starting to go down their route too
I absolutely could not play Asscreed without an internet connection, even though it's activated and I have 30 hours of play time put into it.
Bothers me how uplay needs always want to be on in the background, launching games from it, giving me shitty achievements, plus you can't change your name so I got stuck with a shitty name since my usual name was too long (seriously wtf)
Any two-factor account verification is terrible. I'm fine with steam since you just activate it to one account, I use it all the time and I'm fine with it, and I have pretty much all of my games on it. But when you introduce a second system after that that I will only use because I want to play this one or two games, it gets annoying. Its like an unnecessary sharp stick in my ass having to make another account and remember the details, and when it doesn't provide the convenience of steam I hate it. I usually have to make some vague account that I can never remember, and my game is only activatable on that account, and if I forget or something I'm totally fucked since the game needs that specific drm past steam to log in to.

left most is idle temperatures, right most is max (in-game temps)

these are the temps for my laptop that i've had since may. it gets extremely hot whenever i play anything. it's a gaming laptop and it has the ability to play graphically intensive games at high settings, but it overheats and shuts off when i play them for longer than 10 minutes. i have arctic silver 5 thermal paste coming soon, but i don't know what else i can do. any recommendations?

don't use explicit threads, use Task.Factory or Dispatcher.BeginInvoke to run tasks in parallel
