every single time that game comes up I get really sad because I barely remember its existence now, and it had such potential to be great :(
don't use explicit threads, use Task.Factory or Dispatcher.BeginInvoke to run tasks in parallel
still can't abort it before it's declared

Unfortunately, with the keyboard dock it ends up costing as much as a Transformer Book T100. Screen looks worse, too. However, if you only want a tablet and need x86 compatibility, it'll be fantastic.
still can't abort it before it's declared
you don't have to, since the task factory reuses threads instead of opening new ones. it manages everything for you, more or less
you don't have to, since the task factory reuses threads instead of opening new ones. it manages everything for you, more or less
meh i can't figure it out
i'll just disable the buttons instead
there's nothing to figure out, just go Task.Factory.StartNew(() => { ... }); for whatever you need to do
no checking if threads exist or nothing. should be faster too since you don't have to delete/spool up extra threads
there's nothing to figure out, just go Task.Factory.StartNew(() => { ... }); for whatever you need to do
but what if i want to cancel the threads i've created?
i can't call them by names because there might be hundreds
Why don't you guys just PM each other instead?
I honestly would dump my current LCD screen for a Widescreen CRT 1080p monitor. Only thing is that they don't seem to be too common.
Check ebay. It's easier to find a 2048x1536 and run it at 1080P.

Could do I suppose, thing is though I'd want to run it in at least 1920x1080 for games purposes and I find that 4:3 monitors are hard for me to focus my eyes on these days.
I've always enjoyed 4:3 for reading purposes. I don't care for it in games or watching videos, however.
That's literally dial up. GPRS is dial up. EDGE feels like 3x dial up and a really low ping.
I managed to get 0.02Mbit/s down on GPRS...and a ping of 873ms.
my gtx 480 is idling at ~80c

this fucking heat mate
You call that heat? Try having SLI and playing Arkham origins, 85c on one of the GPUs at 80% fan speed.
Why don't you guys just PM each other instead?
What the hell is wrong with discussing it here? Compared to a lot of the shit that comes up this is on topic.

My 780 Ti is idling at 28°C.
Not like anyone is discussing much of anything else
lol at least it's not car discussions again
[editline]4th January 2014[/editline]
someone should get me gold for my birthday tomorrow :downs:
Car discussion is fun too. Sad that the car electronics stuff is rarely touched over here. I would like to know more about that shit but really few communities revolve around that stuff, never found anything about reprogramming car computer systems etc. Why is seeing that such a rarity? If I could, I'd do it.

It's Binary, he's the self-titled CIPWTTKT discussion topic police

Also I think my motherboard is definitely dying. Compared with the HDD problems that mysteriously disappeared, the sudden KB+M flickering and being unusable, plus it doesn't show the names of the HDDs on the POST screen anymore.
Hey, at least I might get to finally realize my dream of a Micro ATX machine.

2496 Cuda cores per GPU? wat
Managed to get back to uni in one piece, and even more importantly my Mini-ITX rig inc 780 got here one one piece, despite being inside of my suitcase which was bashed about under the coach.

Christ if that GPU is anything less than $1200 i'll be surprised
So, YouTube comments are notoriously horrible.
This browser extension throws out YouTube comments, and pulls in a discussion about the video from Reddit instead. It's actually genuinely great, as far as you're not watching one of those "world hip hop star" videos with black people chanting the name of the site while stuff happens.
You might not like Reddit, but hell, it can't be worse than YouTube comments.

alternatively, skip reading awful or slightly less awful comments and either get feather or don't scroll down
People read youtube comments? I thought you were supposed to watch the video
People read youtube comments? I thought you were supposed to watch the video
The community is a big part of youtube, imo. I'm still not going through the G+ bullshit just to comment, though, so there's that.
