A separate rust forum would have been lovely. Could have been put on playrust.com

Could have an option to register through steam to check if you have rust or something.
i'm getting real tired of popular threads and the ticker getting populated by rust thread titles that mean something else out of context

get rust support off this forum, problem solved
also no more stupid rust threads on popular
I got the image of a small gnome pulling levers in a steam locomotive style area, controlling the HDD in my head. :v:

Pull the lever, Clonk.
Wow, The HDDs in my NAS have clocked 22,500 Power-On hours each now.
Replacement imminent methinks, I think I'll build a FreeNas Box this time round... or maybe something more powerful and use it for other things.

Apparently the 500 GB PATA drive in my server has about 3 years on it, and I think its about 4 years old. I made sure that is has a backup on it, since a lot of the data it has is irreplaceable.

My 2007 250gb Hard Drive has 16719 hours on it, still going strong.
Finally descoved it was Samsun Magician that was causing my games to spaz out and constantly minimise.
gg samsung, A+ software.
Better Nate than Lever!

My old boot has about 35,000 hours (24/7 for 4 years)
Mine has somewhere around 15,000 hours at the moment (god this is gonna be the new speedtest thing I just know it)
How do you check power on hours?
How do you check power on hours?
CrystalDiskInfo and tools of the like.
I don't remember all these bots coming in before the registrations were closed the first time? why did they all suddenly pop up like that?
Facepunch used to run a list where known bot IP's were automatically banned on registration (remember these?). This weeded out 95% of the problem and eventually they just stopped trying. It was disabled when we went to the invite system and for one reason or another it was not enabled again when we returned to public registration. When the bots found out our defenses were off they came in waves comparable to Rust members.
I just discovered Netflix has documentaries on it. Watching When We Left Earth: The NASA Missions. God DAMN the music in it is beautiful.
On a scale of Killer NIC to OUYA how stupid was my decision to buy an R9 290X? Downside it sounds like a tornado, upside I no longer have to run a space heater in that room
also hey guys happy 2014!

You didn't buy one with a custom cooler? Yikes
You didn't buy one with a custom cooler? Yikes
I got a reference one for a decent amount less. Time will tell whether I come to regret that purchase as the whir of the fan slowly drives me insane and I end up storing my pc under the floorboards to try and contain my massive guilt

Depends if you plan on keeping it awhile.
I somewhat regret buying my 580's as lightnings because the custom waterblocks are 150 each for them. Where as reference are super cheap.

Should have waited for the DirectCU II cooler

I would've had to wait an extra 2 or so weeks to get any non reference 290/X and they were a not inconsiderable amount more so I said fuck it - I can always add a new cooler in a year or two once the warranty's run out (or just buy a different card). I did shit myself slightly when I installed it and fired up Last Liught and was getting single digit FPS then I realized physx was on :)
thinking of keeping my PC open so I can light cigarettes and boil eggs on it

I saw the anandtech review of the sapphire custom cooled 290 which was like 'you know this video card that we couldn't recommend because of noise? well this fixes every single problem that that had and there is NO WAY WE RECOMMEND A REFERENCE CARD' and then proceeded to buy a reference card. Custom cooling is for basic bitches, if you ball hard you run at 95 degrees C and nothing less
I got my car speakers all set up today. Had to return the old pair, got some Kenwoods, and now at half bass, they shake my side mirrors out of alignment. :v:
Project: Success, though. Except I am super fucking tired. Cars are awkward to work with.

Plenty of coolers for it. The nzxt z10 kraken so you can use a aio watercooling unti. or a prolimatech mk26. and many others.
What should sound "better"? 96kbps mp3 or 40kbps aac?

No kidding, there are times when I'm working on my car where I think "I'd rather take apart ten iBook G3s over this".
I had a great time putting in my new JBL door speakers. I blew out 3 plastic clips, spent over an hour total searching for the metal clip that holds on my passenger door window crank when it flew off out of sight, and I needed my dad to give me a hand getting the door panels back on. But now it sounds fantastic, though I'm tempted to get a cheap sub off Kijiji.

In many cases they'd sound similiar, and in some cases the aac could sound better.
I'm not sure why you're asking this, but if you can afford 96kbps, then go with 96kbps aac.
