Well they are working on hl3(ep3) and Left 4 dead 3.
lol
Well they are working on hl3(ep3) and Left 4 dead 3.
We know nothing about either. The groups exist, sure, but so do groups for Ricochet and Half Life. We don't know if they're being developed at all.
So guys I have this thing http://www.ebay.com/itm/BLACK-PC-Mp3-Inear-Headphone-Earphone-Earbuds-HL-169-HEADPHONES-STEREO-MINI-PLUG-/231125029600?pt=US_Headphones&hash=item35d02012e0 How shit is it?
Pretty. I've found better-looking ones for cheaper at retail stores. Kind of looks like the free earbuds they give out on airplane flights [editline]12th January 2014[/editline] Wow wingless thanks for breaking my automerge
Base it on the contents of the thread H&S General Chat and 0.1 % CIPWTTKT
1% CIPWTTKT 99% hot gas
Speaking of Steam being a poorly-coded abomination, I don't like the new direction Valve's been taking in recent years. They need to get rid of all this gimmicky stuff like SteamOS and Steamboxes and TF2 hats. Instead they need to fix their client and get back to what they're good at, which is making games
May I ask, what are you smoking? SteamOS/Steamboxes have yet to even hit the market with most of the legwork being done by 3rd parties. As for TF2 hats while I know outside of the TF2 sub this forum has a massive hateboner for TF2 but the love of god get over it. Besides the TF2 team is only 5ish people, a fraction of Valve's staff. And not working on Steam client? Then what's with all the beta updates I keep getting adding new things and fixing old bugs?

Bass is meh, turning up the bass made a difference though mids are OK, highs are decent It's ok. Very plasticy. And I got it for free, don't remember how or when. Then again, I don't know shit about headphones
Valve needs to let us sell games we don't play for Steam cash or something. I never thought I'd say this but I don't want or need all these PC games.
Valve needs to let us sell games we don't play for Steam cash or something. I never thought I'd say this but I don't want or need all these PC games.
Humble bundles?
Humble bundles?
I wrecked the gift giving thread back in the day. On my account I've bought maybe only a small fraction of the gamesI own. But still, half of the games I don't play are either just bad or I lost interest half way through.
So I broke my partition table today :v:
Who needs partitioning tables? When you have linux!
i do if I want to access my data
i do if I want to access my data
This is obviously why everything should be cloud. obviously.
the cloud DOES have infinite power you know
my limited internet says otherwise
I can't wait to have my computer boot off of the cloud
I can't wait to only have a small tablet and have all of my data only on the cloud
Microsoft is going to make Windows Cloud.
jesus lives in the cloud
not really infinite tho is it autodesk

Hey isn't there something you should do whenever getting new headphones? Like keep playing music on it for like a whole day or something like that?
Pfft, Raw PCM data is the only way. Storage is so cheap and data rates so high, compression is irrelevant. If you consider that a few blank tapes storing 90 minutes of audio each would cost you ~£8 in 1990. Today that £8 would buy you 177.3GB, Based on a 1TB drive I found for £45.11. That 177.3GB could store roughly 45 hours of Raw audio sampled at a bit depth of 24 bit with a sample rate of 192khz.
I'm sure you could find even better prices per GB than that. I recently bought a 2TB external drive to store all my music on for $89AU. That'd be about £48.50, so 8 quid would be around 337GB.
you should check out lto. will blow your mind
I'd totally use LTO if I could. The main problem for me is that the drives are so bloody expensive. Maybe the simulated universe will one day figure out how to make infinite computing power and create a simulation inside my simulation. If you believe in headphone burn in you may as well wear a tinfoil hat and and buy solid gold hdmi cables
How's Xcom:EU treating you?
It helped me survive a trip that was too long for its own good. Once I manage to beat it I plan on getting the expansion pack thingy.
If you believe in headphone burn in you may as well wear a tinfoil hat and and buy solid gold hdmi cables
As far as I'm aware/believe: When dealing with speakers and headphones there is a tiny bit of friction in the diaphragm when it's brand new, making a tiny bit of difference in volume/response curve. I've even seen someone do a frequency response test before and after breaking some headphones in for 96 hours, and the test revealed that there was a difference, though it was very slight. Would you be able to hear the difference? Probably not, but it's not completely impossible.
snip, probably tmi

[editline]12th January 2014[/editline] So I want to try that new keyboard layout on my phone first. Which one? Colemak or Dvorak?
