for whatever reason plugging my phone in thru USB activated that 80% volume reduction every time I was so confused
When I plug in my external, system sound drops real quiet. Annoying when I'm watching something
Firefox feels so much better to use and I don't know why. Is there anyway to change the Firefox button to something else? I don't like the bright orange stock icon. Also what are some must have addons? I have LastPass, greasemonkey, adblock. I tried finding a Gmail notifier but couldn't find any on the same level as the one I had on Chrome.
Provo, Utah has google fiber [editline]15th January 2014[/editline] fuck, a page late

I got FXChrome thanks. Downloaded Gmail Notifier and it doesn't appear to have this from the app page. -snip- Nvm I downloaded the wrong thing.

Why on earth is the users online on the right in firefox? [t]http://i.imgur.com/VLJGi79.png[/t]

There's no other explanation, Exchange and Outlook are broken. GG Microsoft.
So here's something a bit weird. I was scrolling through my spam folder, and I noticed quite a few spam emails from one particular source. Typical "follow this link to see naked chick" crap. When I give my email out, I tend to put a +suffix on it, so that if it gets leaked to spammers I can see where they got it from by looking at the To address. That's where it gets weird: They aren't addressed to me. Like, they're supposed to be sent to a completely different GMail address. And it's not even one or two - five of the seven are addressed to someone else's email address. What the fuck ?

Pretty much finished my HTPC upgrade project, if you remember that weird DVD-Player like computer I posted pics of a while ago. Pics and specs here.
I've had the win8 volume mixer randomly reduce the volume of all sounds by 80% because it thinks I'm receiving phone calls or some shit, it's bizarre
It's also fucking up with Mumble, it reduces audio levels for other applications if someone speaks on Mumble. Now, I know that's a setting in Windows, that's on by default, so I always disable it when I install the OS. Oh wait, the setting doesn't work. Microsoft is trying really hard to kill the OS, which honestly is kind of funny to me.
Right click on device in playback tab -> Properties -> advanced -> untick the two boxes.
Someone must of set up a forward for those emails to your account.
Except wouldn't that show as it being "to" my account, and "from" theirs?

In case people don't get this, it's the "attenuate applications by" slider and the checkboxes underneath. Truly Microsoft trying to kill the OS what with the third party applications doing stuff.
I only know one mumble server and I've never seen anyone there :-(
Except wouldn't that show as it being "to" my account, and "from" theirs?
i get the same shit all the time. it's to do with the way that they forward to hunners of people [editline]15th January 2014[/editline] With email, recipients of a message are specified using addresses in any of these three fields: To: Primary recipients Cc: Carbon copy to secondary recipients—other interested parties Bcc: Blind carbon copy to tertiary recipients who receive the message. The primary and secondary recipients cannot see the tertiary recipients. Depending on email software, the tertiary recipients may only see their own email address in Bcc, or they may see the email addresses of all recipients. It is common practice to use the Bcc: field when addressing a very long list of recipients, or a list of recipients that should not (necessarily) know each other, e.g. in mailing lists.[2]

Been enjoying talking in IRC's the last day or two, the whole IRC scene is kind of like Reddit with many different channels to suit your interests.
I'm really bad with IRC, I can never pay attention to more than one channel at a time so I end up idling on two channels 24/7 while I talk on one regularly. And it's a tiny community that has turned terrible in the seven years I've been going there but I can't think of an alternative either.
Posting in this thread has really gone down since we got the IRC (not like we posted much before but still) so if you wanna join us Server: benjeffery.ca Port: 6667 Channel: #cipwttkt
We really need to get that in the OP.
I forgot the IRC was still going, what's a good IRC client? Xchat has expired.
