Fucking Chrome. Why won't it let me install it?
You have to download the file, then go Tool>extensions in chrome and drag and drop the file from your downloads onto the Chrome extensions page. I don't get why they don't just let you install it from one click as getting around it isn't that hard.
Oh god, I posted on the Virgin Media support forum about my internet problems. I've had one reply from Virgin Media so far saying everything is fine but they'll run more tests, and some "helpers" on the forum have replied to it and asked me to do ping tests, speed graphs etc. On one of the ping tests it said "m419-mp1-cvx1c.lan.ntl.com ", with NTL being the company that was bought out by Virgin Media. The helpers seem to think NTL means the server is in Holland cause they've never heard of NTL before.
Also got a reply from Acer, I now have to find the order number from when I bought the laptop then phone the company who sold me it and then complain about it being faulty, as Acer refuse to fix it as its been a year since I bought it.
My employer has 30 day password change requirements. Soooo, who else only increments the number in your password when you're forced to change?
My employer has 30 day password change requirements. Soooo, who else only increments the number in your password when you're forced to change?
Doesn't everyone do that? I'm not remembering an entirely new password every month.
I have 10 passwords it isn't hard.
I used to have ~10 different denominations of my password and it got hard guessing which one had caps where, what number it had on the end and if and where it had any special characters.
If one of my passwords gets compromised, I change everything to something new.
I started using 40 character passwords for my accounts that are somewhat important. And different Passwords for each of my accounts, so in case another shitty company gets their database leaked that has PW's in clear text, none of my other accounts would get risked being compromised.

I just flopped between two different passwords back when I worked at office max and they required that
I just flopped between two different passwords back when I worked at office max and they required that
Yeah I swap between two passwords too. If they save old passwords to compare my new password with old ones, I am going to work somewhere else so quickly it isn't even funny. :v:
I really ought to use LastPass or equivalent again.

We have to change the password for the till at work every ~3 months, I just swap the numbers around

I have an extra-high-security password (20+ chars, multiple symbols, not even a fragment that would be in a dictionary), in addition to my low-security (8 characters, 1 symbol, 1 number, probably in some dictionaries but well off the common passwords list) and high-security passwords (9 characters plus a 1-2 character site-specific suffix).
I don't use it, because the only things I would use it for (bank, student loans) have a maximum password length. For my bank I'm actually forced to use a weaker variant of my low-security password because it doesn't allow non-alphanumeric characters.
I think it's the root password on my OpenBSD install, but my user account has passwordless sudo access so you'd only need it in single-user mode.
My passwords look like this "s9Na60JmzG5wsRT4aBPO", KeePass FTW.
And my keepass password is like 25 chars.
i just add a point to my password
example: "1234" to "1234."

I really really want t-mobile to get big and build a network that rivals verizon's, because really, where I live, you either get verizon or you get dropped calls. I'm getting bent over and fucked by verizon's pricing. I can't even begin to imagine what I'd do if I had no data cap and could just use as much 4g as I wanted. I could actually use spotify.
But not today :saddowns:
I use the principles of a web comic to set my password.

I've been thinking about using a password manager.
Just haven't gotten around to it.
I think i found something that might just run ARMA II

someone in this town is selling a bitcoin rig for $14000, pretty hilarious :v:
So during the office christmas gift exchange, one of the presents was a Nerf gun, which has been resident on his desk since.
Coworker and I just bought our own guns. Holy shit, Nerf is a fucking arms dealer these days. I've got some sort of magnum with 20mm darts, and the other guy has a clip-fed assault carbine or something. They sell extended magazines and everything!
Shit is going to go down in the most hilarious way.

The fucking Centurion is hilarious. It has the huge darts and lobs them a good ~50 feet straight out of the box. If I didn't already have a huge collection, I would buy it.

The one I got uses the Centurion rounds, but in a pistol form. Haven't shot it yet - waiting for the right moment.

I think my favorite thing ever by Nerf is the zombie guns. They really know their audience. There's like a shotgun that takes 3 round clips and shoots all three at once like a legit shotgun.
You could you make 3d printed nerf bullets for maximum pain.

And just like real guns, you can modify them in all sorts of crazy ways
Remove the air restrictors, make the springs bigger, put thumbtacks inside the darts...

Yeah, this is an arms race waiting to happen.
I used to do Nerf stuff - best thing I ever had was just a PVC pipe used as a blowdart. I could peg someone in the face from 50m. I held off on doing that until the war has actually started.
