So I'm trying to set up a NAS. It should be booting as I type this. Except there's one problem: Can it boot without a GPU? I'm just using a ASRock M3A770DE motherboard which doesn't have a onboard GPU

I don't think that's very viable as far as the power you'd get out of the shot, but for anyone interested just look into making 'stefans'.
also if you guys modify your guns be careful not to nail anybody in the face, they can REALLY pack a punch and it's sometimes illegal to use things like a longshot in close-range without the air restrictor in organized events
funny story, i used to have that combo gun with the mega missile
the one that apparently (i never did) if you took the air restrictor out and shoved a micro dart inside you'd get three to four hundred feet

Organized events? We're doing an office war. I'm more concerned someone will one-up me by bringing an airsoft gun (or, if the CTO gets involved, his Kalashnikov).

the reason I mention that is because it's recognized by actual modders that it's too dangerous to shoot people in close quarters with a high power mod. Welts aside, it'll do more than sting if it hits you in the eye. Also it'd be illegal to bring out an airsoft at a workplace for a number of reasons

Depends on the motherboard and the OS. If your motherboard supports headless mode and you run some kind of OS that is manageable without one (Ex. Linux, BSD, etc) then it should work. Most non-server grade motherboards refuse to do this though, and just returns an error if you try (Beeping, unable to POST, etc).
Got Rust working! It's garbage. I'd have an easier time extracting lemon juice out of an orange than getting any fun out of it.

What specifically don't you like about it?

How slow it is to get to any action (to put this into perspective I did one-hour runs in DayZ to get to cities and didn't even care), the hunger thing, how random the items are around the map, and the fact that much like with any other game of it's "genre" I got killed as soon as I met someone with a ranged weapon.

Eh, it is slow to get into action, but once you do it ramps up quickly.
Hunger in my opinion is much better than Day Z's, and items aren't really random, there are zones dedicated to crafting materials or raw loot.
The whole people killing you thing comes with the package.

Oh nice, my HD6670 just went "fuck this" in the middle of HL2DM and whitescreened, now it now won't work.
Currently got an issue where RAM keeps spiking on my PC up to nearly maximum. I am stretching my head as to why at the moment.

Nerf war went down. Darts all over the office. I think mine leaves bruises. Escalation likely.

linux/freebsd? of course
We convened a Geneva Convention in the office. The Rules of War:
1) No shooting when people are actually working.
2) Skirmishes are to end promptly (no reloading), and a certain interval (currently 15min) must pass before another skirmish may begin. Skirmishes must have just cause (eg. the taking of the last soda from the fridge), but do not need to be declared nor reciprocated (a shout of "you motherfucker!" before opening fire is considered sporting but not mandatory).
3) Wars must be declared and reciprocated before beginning, and a single dissenting vote (even by a non-combatant) may end one.
4) All fire must be from a range of no less than five feet.
5) No modifications or customizations that result in actual injury.
6) No shots may be fired while anyone in the office is on the phone.
7) Conceal all weapons while clients are in the office.
8) Be mindful of open containers and precariously-placed electronics.
9) Civilians (those not in possession of a weapon, regardless of whether it is on their person) are not to be fired upon deliberately, nor used as human shields.
10) Fortifications (ie. my walls of monitors) may be addressed by a second convention if deemed necessary (simple majority vote).

OK. What if dictionary attack. Seriously, just using strings of words without at least sticking some numbers or random letters in there to mix it up is as useful as hunter2.
OK. What if dictionary attack. Seriously, just using strings of words without at least sticking some numbers or random letters in there to mix it up is as useful as hunter2.
Dictionary attack doesn't know if the password correcthorsebatterystaple, which consists of 25 characters, is one 25 letter word, 5 5-letter words, or two 7 letter words, one 6 letter word and a 5 letter word. Which means it has to try a lot more combinations of words.

I used correcthorsebatterystaple#123456 before, seemed somewhat safe
I just moved to keypass now tho, it's just more convenient than remembering lots of passwords
I don't particularly like the idea of having a 3rd party program (anything that's not my brain) manage my passwords
I could never get the hang of setting up keepass.
OK. What if dictionary attack. Seriously, just using strings of words without at least sticking some numbers or random letters in there to mix it up is as useful as hunter2.
It's assuming a dictionary. The 11 "bits" per word is based on a 2000-word dictionary (2048=2^11), probably the General Service List, which if anything is conservative. If you use a wider dictionary it could be 20 bits of entropy per word, for 80 total, but that assumes you're using words like "legislation" or "qualitative" instead of common words like "high" or "person".
Do the math per-character for correcthorsebatterystaple, and you would theoretically have over 10^35 combinations to check even if you assumed alpha-only, lowercase. Which is bullshit because dictionary attacks exist, which is why he claimed 44 bits of entropy, not 118.
Basically, the mental cost of remembering a complex password, even just 2correcthorsebatterystaples, is not worth the cost it takes for a computer to crack it.

Okay, what the FUCK, Metal Gear?
So you didn't save the first time because apparently autosaves aren't persistent and I didn't save manually because who the fuck besides Metal Gear puts the save functionality inside the comms menu?
So this time I went through your stupid process and played through the first three chapters AGAIN and saved manually and ALL THAT CRAP.
And there's STILL
NO
FUCKING
SAVE
You fucking LIED to me, Revengeance. You have a stupid name, a stupid story and and even a stupid fucking config system that doesn't let me select 1440p, but because you're actually fun I would have forgiven all that. But now you TOLD me that I saved, MULTIPLE TIMES, and I still can't actually load a save because it doesn't fucking exist. WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU
