Too bad my SATA2 board caps out at about 300mb/s [t]http://puu.sh/6toGg.png[/t] Just ran a test on my HDD, good lord it's slow. I wonder how long until it bites the dust. [t]http://puu.sh/6toze.png[/t]

i get 38/87.. probably gonna use it forever, not reinstalling :v: been going strong on this install for 3,5 years now
So my brother and father have been trying to sell my brothers business for a few weeks to months now and just selling everything inside while waiting for buyers to come by. It's been really slow there so my dad took my old TV from the garage up there to watch some sports. A guy walks in looking to buy up some old stuff and wants to buy the TV. It's a Sony Bravia 26" 720p. I thought it might be worth 50-75 bucks. I got it in 2008. It's in perfect condition but it just was annoying to use from the start. We paid 600 for it then. This guy offered 275. Sold...
I was trying to fix my Zalman ZM-VE200 SE's shitty USB port by desoldering the broken port and putting on a new one. Though I didn't get the pads hot enough: So that sucks considering it was like, $50 for just the hard drive casing. I don't see why there aren't other companies that have a product that does the same thing.

Took one look at the connector and thought it wouldn't last 5 minutes, so I've added some support brackets using gaff tape. Really is a great product though, I see it as a failing in the USB connector design. In fact pretty much every "high density" connector these days is a flimsy pile of crap. HDMI is the one I hate the most, if I had enough money I'd put HDMI->HD-SDI converters on everything or use DVI.

It's Tuesday night, my semester started today and I still continue to drink. I need an intervention, Sipwicket. I'm just webservices either way, so I'd be the odd ball out.

So that's about three revisions (They're on the 400 now) and they still can't get it right. How hard could it be?
Remember to drink lots of water and gatorade
but the hangover is half the fun! (it really isn't)
now I want to see if I can get some money for my current proc and some others I have in storage and do that xeon to 775 mod... how good is the motherboard support?
I should be getting a Thinkpad T400 for $100 tomorrow. I already have my Vaio Pro for laptop shit, though I want a physical machine to throw on my test network's active directory domain. The guy's ad is really short and has no pictures, though apparently it's in great condition. If that's true I could easily resell it later with a good ad if I don't use it.
Just ordered this https://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=26495 Hope fully it'll make a good HTPC.
Finally got that meeting over with, now i can rest.
So, one of the computers on my school appear to have a failed drive, after POST you simply get a error message saying ''The boot disk cannot be detected or the drive has failed''. HOW?! These Veriton systems are not even a year in service at this point and now already drive issues? Each day these computers are shut down like 1 to 5 times a day and get booted back up to conserve power as the power group of our classroom is always nearly overloaded. (So do these computers cut out every now and then)

Guess my dislike to Acer still seems to count.
If the HDD was ticking so loudly then it's a bad HDD, or it's likely someone tampered with one of them and unplugged the drive.
If the HDD was ticking so loudly then it's a bad HDD, or it's likely someone tampered with one of them and unplugged the drive.
Those Veritons are one of those micro-PCs so they have a 2.5'' hard drive. And tampering with them is a unlikely scenario, as you require a screwdriver to get access to them, besides this sounds very arrogant, but I haven't seen anyone in school which knows a thing or two about hardware. All I can think of is the many start and shut down cycles totaled it, but that's very unlikely.
Uhh steam? Somehow HL2 EP1 and EP2 turned into portal

Bought a 80GB iPod Video off a friend for 200kr or ~36USD, it's in really good condition (Except the center button, lol) [t]http://i.imgur.com/4OW96tU.jpg[/t] Amazing DAC. Should I install Rockbox on it?
