I have 4 other roommates. Someones usually on a laptop, everyone's using wifi with their phones, along with two xboxes, and my desktop. I am well above comcasts claimed "average usage" of 17gb a month, but still barely half the supposed 300gb limit...I want to see where they get that average number from.
I'm guessing you live Near or around Huntsville or Madison, Mediacom has a 50 m/bits down and 2 up and a 500Gb Cap for a good price.

So many rainbows. [editline]2nd February 2014[/editline] I haven't had an issue with a cap yet so I'm not worried about it.
What's a cap?
It's like a hat
It's like a hat
It IS a hat.
Bottle caps.
Dippoly dacks.
What's a cap?
A huge pain in the ass that limits people's life every month.
You can get 500mbits if you live in the Bern area from upc-cablecom it's not cheap though like 200fr./month http://www.upc-cablecom.ch/en/internet/products/internet-500/ as for data caps we've never had any here in switzerland nor did the isp not deliver the mentioned speeds
I'm really starting to wonder if everyone at Youtube UI Design HQ lived their entire lives with their monitors in portrait orientation or something
I can't speak for every company, but when I was doing web dev with a company for 6 weeks, everybody had a editor on their 27" Thunderbolt display most of the time and had a portrait display by the side of it, which they kept Chrome/Firefox on.
Oh and on the topic of broadband caps:- We're with Sky at the moment on their Unlimited Plan, which advertises up to 16Mb (We get 15Mb) and there is no data cap - for £10 a month (+£15 line rental, comes to a total of £25/~$41pm). We're thinking of swapping to BT soon though, but they have data caps and high prices (£15 pm + £15 line rental pm for 38Mb with 40GB data cap) when we could get 38Mb fibre for double what we're paying now, still with no data cap.

It was between PlusNet, BT or Sky Fibre, after researching all 3 I found that PlusNet has 'traffic management', aka throttling your connection during peak times, which threw me off them, BT was just more expensive and provided a slower upload speed. The only issue with Sky was that they were going to charge £50 for installation and a new fiber router although once we called them up to cancel they offered us the fiber package with free installation/router. Imo Sky is the better out of Sky/BT.

Its an extra £10 on sky to get 80/20. I haven't had any speed problems so far, definitely no caps (I use 1TB traffic per month) [editline]2nd February 2014[/editline] Although BT supposedly released a 'Totally Unlimited package' that has no p2p throttling
I don't think I could live with Data caps in America. I eat bandwidth for breakfast.
American/Texan here with comcast, what is a data cap? If this is it, I can confirm, I have a data cap
I love how you can't even delete System32. :v: Also, why is your VMware in German but the actual OS in like Spanish or whatever the fuck that is?
I had only a copy of Windows XP in Portugese at the time
You should buy something from Logitech. They seem reasonable.
I wouldn't be surprised if you use that on a daily basis.
i dont understand how microsoft could think using ALL CAPS on the newer office interface was a good idea it looks horribleand it's my main reason not to upgrade [editline]2nd February 2014[/editline] this is what i mean [t]http://i.stack.imgur.com/XBOj9.jpg[/t]
I think you meant to say Good and BAD

Wouldn't an instaban that looks for the thread title "I am the new girl" and "Just wanted to say Hi" work? That's all the spam threads seem to be named.
im a bit late but i cant believe you guys put up with data caps. that's just absurd in some ways y'all seem to be behind even brazil. no data limits on internet, all cell phones must be unlocked, you can transfer your number from carrier to carrier, free healthcare :v:
"Put up with" Like we have any say in the matter. and don't say voting with our wallets because that means not having internet (or DSL maybe) and that's not an option
Wouldn't an instaban that looks for the thread title "I am the new girl" and "Just wanted to say Hi" work? That's all the spam threads seem to be named.
Closing registration would also work.
Closing registration would also work.
open registration only for "rust members"
Plugged my external hdd into my USB 3.0 port to copy over some TV shows, the second I did it, my laptop hard reset. Loaded it back up and plugged it back into the USB 3.0 port, did it again, had to use the 2.0 port and resort to only copying at 20mb/s.
Any debris or something in the USB3 port? iirc computers do that when you short some pins.
open registration only for "rust members"
I'd actually love to see steam community integration for facepunch signups Make it an optional thing for members, but required for new users, and make it show VAC bans and shit :v:
