Newest addition to the family, a Toshiba M750.
Threw my 32GB SSD in there and the end result is Win8 touchscreen goodness on a solid Core 2 Duo platform with a boot time of around 11-12 seconds. Not too shabby, for a total of $100.

1) Download and install drivers from [url=http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/p/xbox-360-wireless-controller-for-windows#support]here.[/url]
2) Navigate to [C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository]
3) Locate folder that starts with xusb21.inf_... (the file type should be "Setup Information"). If there are more than one, choose the one that was created most recently
4) Open the inf file in notepad.Replace 0719 with 0291.

Still not as good as the time I got a cheap USB turntable, the thing automatically installed as a generic USB microphone, so I wondered what the driver CD was for
It had an installer for Audacity and a 1 page instruction manual on how to record with it :v:
I can one up that one as well, I bought a cheap gamepad six or seven years ago and it came with a "driver" CD that was for it allegedly. Actually had like four emulators and instructions on how to use them, including the legal warning "Only play what you own physically."

epsxe works pretty well. for MGS2, I've had no problems with the PC version (and it looks and runs better than the emulated PS2 version) and mgs3 is fully supported under pcsx2.
If you have access to a PS3 though, the HD rereleases are really good looking and play really well.

I got the HD Pack on the PS3, and it's amazing. Finally let me play those older MGS games I never finished.
I really need to take some time, and finish them all.
Also the original games on the MSX are pretty good if you're into that sort of thing. And Snatcher too, since that has a metal gear in it :v:
