I asked before, but does anyone have a new suggestion for something like FreeFileSync.
It's become confusing in my use now. Using a two way update it copies the differences to each side, but it's still marking about 500GB of footage to delete, which makes no fucking sense.

The Windows 8 app is a lot better, it actually uses your GPU. The browser version was really annoying to use on my HTPC without that.
I might use the W8 App when I am on my laptop if you could use MediaHint with it.

The updated windows 8 app is excellent, but if I tab out of it the show pauses and that is unacceptable. And the user agent spoofer I used basically had a bunch of premade combinations. So I believe the Firefox 3.5 and 4 combos are on XP and the Firefox 15 combo uses 7. Interestingly, Netflix discriminates against your OS. If I set my user agent to Safari on OS X, it takes much longer to load HD.

I tried Chrome, Firefox and IE on Windows 8.1 and it all played fine.

I got vmware player runing so I could mess around with steamos, but after the initial installation when it reboots it does this funky partition bakup thing then it doesnt boot, ever. when I start the machine it turns on and flashes the steamos logo then goes black.

Eh, I'm kinda in this party. I like background noise, specifically TV shows and movies since there's really nothing like it. Especially if you've already seen it before, you know what's going on and you can kinda picture it in your head while listening to it and doing something else.

A lot of netflix stuff is good for having in the background as white noise, like documentaries.

you're still removing choice from the consumer, and that is almost always a bad thing

I'm tempted to buy a 7850 Low Profile just incase because I doubt there are going to be any low profile cards that fast for a long time.
Hell the fairly priced 7750 low profile (which I bought for £70) is now selling for over £200 because it's replacement, the R7 250 is slower than the 7750 and its no longer being made.
Trying to calibrate this silly toshiba's battery and it's been running for over an hour on 1% of battery.
I don't think it's supposed to do that.

Mostly because it drops from 100% to 5% in about 5 minutes.
my battery is "fully charged" at 94%, will go from that to about 18% in maybe 20 minutes of light use, then shuts off at 17%
I'm getting a new laptop this summer

I'm cautious. His background is in ~cloud~ and such, the part of MS I'm constantly worried about. When a company builds both a platform and web services (Or really just general services) they tend start building walled gardens between the two (MS has played nice so far but I don't trust it.). Google is a pretty good example.
I'm hoping hes got a more realistic view of the market than Ballmer did though
