Been troubleshooting for hours now why my Fallout 3 doesen't have a fucking mouse cursor. Aparently it was because I had the damn Xbox controller plugged into my PC.

It's better if you leave it on top of your case and leave vibration on

The day when you play a game and right when a explosion occurs, your computer bursts into flames.
Reminds me of the story I've gotten of when a person was making a site for some church and during editing, their computer burst into flames. Then followed by us cracking jokes how the computer was supposedly made out of wood and how the church might be cursed.
Stomach flu sucks dicks.
Also, with the Mt.Gox issues, I'm glad I quit my second job and no longer work with bitcoins. I cashed out at the right time, that's for damned sure.

Delightful thought of a virus a sucking dick by Dr. Deeps.
A long time ago I had a good ebook recommended by someone in the GMF for learning Java as an absolute beginner
I've since lost it and can't find any other good Java tutorials that don't assume I already know other languages. Anyone know of anything that fits the bill? Basically if it doesn't spend 20 pages telling me what IDE stands for then it's too complicated for me. Free, preferably.
You could use the website my university lecturer made and we used in first year to start learning java. It's about as simple as it gets.
Doesn't really compare to using an IDE though. The website won't tell you you've missed a ; for example, which is a pain in the arse.

It has happened to me so many times, the best time was when it was on top of my case, vibrated and fell off and started moving around on the floor when there were explosions in bf3. My cat was terrified when it saw the controller vibrating on the floor.

What's the problem with that...?
1st Gen i7s still being used on my college computers

because they still work?
The idea of having something as new as a 1st gen i7 is fairly big to most collages.
Our whole school is using 1 core, 2 thread Intel Atom shitboxes, with 4GB of RAM and a 32bit W7 so one retarded teacher could keep using Kid Pix studio... He was fired too, so idk.
FB games lag etc. pretty weird.
The bottleneck in Google Maps was in the computer instead of the connection. That was new to me. School has a 100/100Mbit connection, pretty nice actually.

1st gen i7 used for gaming by me. I'm ok with this.
My old job used c2d for everything. My new one uses brand new i7 dells for even the most menial of tasks.

And Nehalem is absolutely ideal for that, moving to anything else that's not 2011 would give you absolutely zero noticeable difference.
Nehalem sounds like the noise I make when I sneeze.

first gen i7s are still decent processors. it's not like you're playing video games on them, or if you are you should head right on back to middle school

nehalem is probably the best processor for a vm, anything newer won't have any noticeable increase in performance

BEFORE IT HAPPENS
I STILL PLAY GAMES WITH STICKS AND TWIGS. FIGHT ME
There, now we don't have to list progressively older technologies for 16 pages to see whose Google-fu is stronger.
Until last semester, my Windows Server lab machines were Core 2 Duos with 8GB of RAM. Thankfully they were upgraded to current i7s with 16GB of RAM before we took Exchange this semester.
I had a Q9550S in my college computers which was pretty decent considering that was in 2011

I still play games with redshift 10 objects
Core 2 Duo machines still make up the vast majority of boxes at my college, they do their job so I don't see why they need to replace them.

Woop the BL2 free weekend ended, and it redirected me to the store page, bought the GOTY then and there. What a good game.
Jesus, waiting for parts to arrive is the worst feeling. Can't wait to get my hands on mah 760, as well as a pair of ips monitors  along with storage drives for my new baby.
