Dath'Remar here :(
I finally found real life people I can play with. Also still have yet to have a level 90 character. My warrior is 4 levels off, though.

Speaking of DVD burners, here's how mine works

Mine does this shit too, but only about half the time

Oh man, 90 kinda blew me away. There's more to it than most end-levels of the other expansions. Working ilvl is a lot harder in Mists. Great fun, though.
what was he trying to achieve here
I love the hardmodding community. Some of the hacks they come up with you really have to wonder how the hell they found them.

but what does it dooooo
but what does it dooooo

I agree that it's a nice soldering job; but at a glance it appears that the switch selects between shorting {(On-Die Termination 1) or (Data 9)} to (Data 13).
If one of the wires connect near to pin 195 (ODT:0) on the other side, I think the intent was to control ODT on a system that doesn't support BIOS configuration of the load-mode command; and that the user's intent was to short ODT to Vss (ground/disable) or (Data Mask); with no idea how a toggle switch works.
But thinking about it, if the overclocking was causing ghosting (signal reflection) because of poor signal termination, this that might actually have had a chance of working for a few weeks until the memory controller burned out.

Somebody gave this explanation. I'm not very intimate with the physical working of RAM so I have no idea if its right or complete bullshit.
that's circuit bending rather than vanilla hardmodding, my bet is on either overclocking or regular old circuit bender shenanigans.
I noticed that too. Both sides of the left toggle just go to Vss pins.
so what would be the symptoms of a dying GPU? I suspect that my primary one is on the edge of dying. the display driver often crashes, there are lots of weird artifacts in both games and on my desktop. performance is horrible in loads of games.
artifacts I'm talking about

had that a lot, gpu was fucked, heres some steps
1)Visibly inspect card for unusual stuff
2)If its still under warranty RMA it
3)If not you're probably fucked, so u aint got nothin to lose, so stick dat jew in the oven like you're hitler at amys baking company

You know, I wouldn't be opposed to a universal output-only connector in my brain, if I could somehow mentally protect it properly (output is explicit, nothing is output by default).
It wouldn't need to be complex, but if I could think of a number, corresponding to a program on the order on the taskbar, and it switched to it, that would be great.

I think it'd be great for some kind of visual mental image projection. So you could show people exactly what you're thinking, which would be an invaluable communication tool. Imagine being able to show a screen your memories and dreams and ideas to other people
Of course it'd be probably be used for creepy, disturbing shit instead but whatever

I think something like this, except an HDMI cable that displays whatever the brain is seeing visually, whether it be hallucinations or dreams or whatever, would be much cooler.

Try not to think about that porn you watched last night in the middle of your big presentation
Im sure youve all heard of that guy who built the little robot controlled my rat brain cells.
Well hes also done experiments in the human field. He had 100 electric contacts implanted into the nerve in his arm then hooked it up to an ir detector thing and after a while of his brain adapting to it, he had developed a sixth sense, he could feel how close things were while blindfolded. Later on his wife got the same implant and they hooked the systems together. He could touch something and his wife would feel it.

Kim is seriously really awesome. And his music is so poppy you would have to do a drug screen for it. huehue

He's been advertising his free album all over the place and is trying to start a political party in NZ to change copyright and internet law there. He's kind of the copyright Julian Assange in a way.
I suppose having the government illegally break into your house and seize (and then "accidentally" destroy) data that is integral to the trial will do that to you

I think I might take that over the "download in 3 minute thing"
Yea, I had some important stuff on Mega back then. Things that I never thought I'd want, but now do. Like old test projects, early editing stuff. I mean really shit stuff but I want to see what I made back then. So ever since like 2010 I've kept copies of everything I've made. Even those quick 2 second test videos.

To Be With You is actually pretty decent. I mean it's obviously "hit" music but a lot of the stuff on the album is generally just uplifting style which makes it nice to listen to. I guess it makes sense since it's "Good Times."

I never listened to it for feeling it would be cringey or something but some of that I like. "Take me away" appeals somehow especially.

Whoever corrected me last week about VGA being able to do 2560 x 1440, I'm sorry I ever doubted you.
[t]http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/14575796/Phots/IMG_20140212_210742.jpg[/t]
A GMA 950 on my 7 year old laptop was able to push that resolution easy. A little blurry because the VGA output sucks period, but its usable.
As a minor note, my Monoprice 27" monitor reports itself as a WIT 72" over VGA. Whatever that is.

Holy shit I knew it was theoretically possible but actually seeing it in the flesh does surprise me.
