sadness I always used the free version.
Apparently they only have a week's warning when they started that. Such assholes... I used it to remote into my grandmother's laptop and it worked pretty well, though I set that up ages ago. The last time I used logmein was to remotely install Teamviewer.
Logmein was succeeded in speed by both teamviewer and splashtop a while back anyway. [editline]19th February 2014[/editline] although I used to love it.
The key assignment makes sense. Its the only key that otherwise has no purpose in Windows world. Throws me off when I dual boot on my Macbook though. I have to force myself to remember that its Command+C, not Ctrl+C in OSX and vice versa in Windows. [editline]19th February 2014[/editline] I want them to select a random town in the Midwest. A vast majority of small ones they could probably get set up in a day or three. In one of the nearby towns, the cable company equipment is a shed. No really. Imagine the shed in your backyard, with "Alliance Communications" on the side and there you go. Granted, that won't happen for a long time, because it won't be profitable.
The Hackintosh thing I've been doing has thrown me off a bit mainly because I'm using a Windows keyboard, incidentally do that make mechanical keyboards for Mac? In terms of internet, I don't what you americans are complaining about, we're still waiting on an NBN which been downgraded recently due to an out of touch political party and I'm only getting 6Mb/s down and 512Kb/s up.
Isn't it a bit ironic that I'm using LogMeIn to install TeamViewer on my client's computer? Do people still use Ventrillo or did Skype kill that off?
I find OSX's command key shortcuts to flow better than the Ctrl in windows. Plus, it means that in OSX you have another modifier key. Nothing wrong with that, right? [editline]19th February 2014[/editline]
Do people still use Ventrillo or did Skype kill that off?
Vent and team speak are still huge, especially for games. [editline]19th February 2014[/editline] Oh for fucks sake.
Don't forget Mumble (even though it's shit for everything but it's codec)
The licencing is why I like it. Mumble is free for how ever many users you want.
Do people still use Ventrillo or did Skype kill that off?
I think I have Ventrillo installed
The licencing is why I like it. Mumble is free for how ever many users you want.
Except functionally, it's fucking horrendous. I can't even click chat links and have them open in browser. Something so insanely basic. Audio configuration is trash and activate by level/noise can never be configured right for any mic I've used, the overlay shit is absolutely pointless, UI is a fucking mess and the networking is insanely unreliable, and don't even get me started on the trash that is Murmur. The only good thing about it is the codec it uses.
In a few hours, I'm going to enter a zone where neither technology or time exist - my parent's place. It's either going to be great, or I'm going to try and jump out the window.
The licencing is why I like it. Mumble is free for how ever many users you want.
I like Teamspeak more than Ventrillo and Mumble. It just feels way better to use. Also, Some Arma Mods depend on it, so I can't throw it out.

You have to use a bot for that. Apart from that and having to get used to the insanely complex permissions system, it's by far and away the best. The permissions system is really damn powerful, but it is not easy for someone new to figure out how to setup correctly. It's way to easy to give people too many obnoxious things like being able to create billions of temp channels and stuff. Speaking of which, I really should get around to getting that non profit license one of these days. 512 slot server, because I totally have more than 20 people online ever.
If I want to talk to 2 or 3 friends at once I just use skype
I just sit in an afk channel on 3-7 TS servers, 2-3 vents, and a mumble server. Then I panic when someone tries to talk to me because I can't find the right server.
What I hate about teamspeak is because you can manually adjust everyone's volume, nobody fixes it themselves You join the room and everyone's quiet, so you turn your speakers up, one guy's really quiet so you turn his up further, then somebody joins and they're ear fuckingly loud, then everyone starts talking at once so you can't tell who the fuck's the loud one
I prefer text chat because I don't have a mic anymore :v:
TS3 all the way, always use it even though it's only me and another guy. [editline]20th February 2014[/editline] uhmmmm [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/ViGzBc.png[/t] what could be the cause of this? could this happen if the GPU isn't properly put in place? since I replaced the dying GPU with the healthy one earlier, but other games work fine.

Thats just me, since I'm slightly biased towards self-hosted solutions. Needless to say, I still love skype, since many friends use it.
why are people comparing sims 3 to skype
why are people comparing sims 3 to skype
Which one is better for sexual gratification - watching your self-insert Woohoo someone or talking to someone on Skype and showing each other naughty bits?
or talking to someone on Skype and showing each other naughty bits?
Thats what I use snapchat for.
I dunno if getting the Node 304 was the best choice, I kind of wish I went with something from Bitfenix, maybe the Colossus.
Gotta love GiffGaff 18th Feb: "As of today we are no longer accepting Maestro debit cards, as you recently used a Maestro card to purchase a goodybag you may wish to check out alternative ways to pay" 19th Feb: "Your goodybag runs out on the 20th.. blah blah.." Had to use someone else's debit card to continue having my business phone, egh. Phoned the bank to upgrade my card to a Mastercard. Some warning would have been nice.
The Mac squiggle key is used more often than I would have thought. It's the Windows Key on my keyboard.
It was frustrating to use that button when I started to use Macs more extensively for art-related courses at my school coming from the glorious Windows 7. I eventually got a hang of using OS X and I do find using the shortcuts for cut, copy and paste, undo and bold to be easier to press than my Microsoft keyboard at home. I never have to look down on the Mac keyboard but sometimes I have to look down on the Microsoft keyboard. No idea why but I guess it's because the modifier key was closer to the cluster of buttons I was using so often. Also I really like the fell of the Mac keyboards, especially on the MacBook Pro as it's somehow softer.
fucking tired of my phone getting hot as shit if i do anything more than looking at its lockscreen (ok maybe using hdspa+ listening to music and watching hd videos isnt exactly just looking at its lockscreen but STILL)
Modern Smartphones also function as a portable hand heater in the winter. *It's a feature!
portable hand heaters arent a big thing here in brazil
food heaters
God, I've formatted and reinstalled Snow Lion 3 times and Autodesk Smoke still won't work. I'll try Mavericks and if it doesn't work I'll have to start swapping hardware :suicide:. Yes Justin Long, mac is so much better than Windows . God forbid, I may have to buy an overpriced Xeon Mac on ebay, no one wants now that the cylinder is out , good on you Apple for making people pay more for hardware just to run an exclusive version of BSD ( it's called a motherboard not a logic board jackasses).
