We originally launched imo as a browser based messaging service to manage all of your IM accounts. Since then we have also developed apps for Android, iPhone, iPad and Amazon. To provide the best and most reliable service for our users, we need to focus on the areas we feel we can make the biggest impact. We are now going to concentrate on building out our own communications platform to help people easily connect in their everyday lives. Our goal is to create the fastest and most reliable messaging, voice and video call service in the world. On March 3, 2014, we will start discontinuing support for all third-party instant messaging networks. We know change isn't always easy, but we hope our users will trust that this will make imo an even better service.
IMO is removing their support for third party chat services, aka: the only reason anyone used them in the first place :v: [editline]2nd March 2014[/editline] If you don't know about it, IMO was a website/app that merged steam/skype/msn/Facebook chat into one, everyone I know used it back when there was no Steam web/Mobile chat
these are so awesome http://imgur.com/a/WMVBv
Since it's always better to get a warning that something want to change shit with administrative rights rather than not knowing what the fuck is going on.
Also the thought of every single process running with administrator privileges sort of makes me squirm a bit. UAC is far from perfect, but at least its not XP's ohohoho let's run everything as admin because your account has admin privileges!
these are so awesome http://imgur.com/a/WMVBv
Man, even french battleships looked like baguettes.
these are so awesome http://imgur.com/a/WMVBv
There's no way those are actually French because they're not flying white flags
Seriously, though, pre-dreadnought designs are probably the most fascinating warship designs. These guys were trying just about anything to give them an edge over the other countries, bizarre hull shapes, weird turret layouts, unconventional interior arrangements, etc.
So, for those that don't know I was going to ask a question for Lavacano to Wil Wheaton, and I managed to: Q: If a Christian sect pops up overnight, to something like the size of scientology, and they follow the teachings of Jesus' butts, would that be a surprise butt sect? A: It would be better if there were two so it would be surprise butt sects. I'm pretty satisfied with his answer.
You met Wesley? Now I'm Jealous. Glad you're having a good time. Hello, I'm now back online with my new desk setup. It's quite different. Cable management sucks because I moved my PC to a new location relative to all my stuff and it's now like 1/10th the distance it would normally be, so I have all these crazy long cables with no where to go.

I've been posting them my twits Edit: but my feed is broken so it hasn't been posting. I'll post pictures tomorrow. My entire body aches. [editline]2nd March 2014[/editline] https://twitter.com/SirCrest/status/440041130982658048/photo/1 One while I was working. My desk now faces my TV.
Ah ok, I also find that it's easier to work with the TV in background. I've been having the worst luck with this new motherboard. It does the normal beep but nothing comes on the screen. I've tried on onboard graphics and an old GTX560, but nothing works. Looks like I"ll have to post it back do the 4 week RMA thing. God forbid they blame me for it. :suicide: At least the CPU works, tried it in the old board.
I use my TV as a monitor when I work, but now I can have it directly infront of me. I listed them before but this new layout has many benefits. I have much more room to do greenscreen work due to the room on the other side of the desk. More of my stuff is against the corner and wall giving me more moving space. More of my stuff is also not next to my bed so I can organize it tighter rather than needing to give room to walk. I can also move my computer, sub, and drawer to the wall giving much more leg room. I can view my TV for chat during livestreams, more of my expensive equipment is now against the wall where it's safer. I'm also on the other side of the AC unit resulting in reduced noise. I have slightly less room between the bed and the desk, but otherwise it's a win win win win win. I can even play games from my desk on my TV without turning or moving.
Hello, I'm not back online
how are you posting this, then
magic
So I just noticed that my LCD TV in my room has the Cartoon Network logo very faintly burnt into it I can see the outline of the curve of the C, and the outline of the white box that's around the N (and under some darker conditions, the entire N itself) [editline]2nd March 2014[/editline] I've left it on 24/7 because it was screeching at me when I turned it on with an alarming frequency

The teacher at my school always leaves the fucking projector on when it's not necessary, and in the Windows power options the display standby timer has been disabled, so it will keep chugging on projecting the same image.
Being an LCD based projector it could very well suffer from image persistence. As far as I'm aware, DLP projectors don't have this problem.
My parent's old plasma had the hud from Halo 3 and CNN logo hud burned in
My parent's old plasma had the ammo count from Halo 3 and CNN logo hud burned in
You must've played A LOT of halo
You must've played A LOT of halo
I did i did....
The big projectors at the Star Trek Experience rides in Las Vegas had the Red Alert overlay burned into them because the simulators were in red alert for ~80% of the time they were active. Sort of spoiled the first bit where it's supposed to be a routine flight but it was a side effect of using brand new technology. Nobody knew these projectors were subject to burn-in.
Is it worth buying a surface pro for a trip to japan? :suicide:
specifically for the one trip? no bring a laptop or something
my laptop is a clunky as fuck msi gaming laptop, i'd rather not
Personally, I would like to have the Surface just so I can carry a computer in the form of a tablet instead of carrying a laptop. [editline]2nd March 2014[/editline] Plus, rig your computer right, you could get something like the Nivida Shield over RDP.
God help me, I am browsing trough the emacs docs, that get shipped with it. I found a Cookbook, and terrible programmer jokes. Also, emacs even ships with games. :wtc: Wow, it even has a MS .doc file. I never knew emacs ships with proprietary file formats.
