Okay, I cannot tell whether this is a problem with Chrome or something else (I'm giving Google the benefit of doubt).
In Chrome Youtube videos will often skip frames while at 720p and 1080p. Now this is not a problem with my hardware - I'm running a 2500K and a 6950 - and it's working perfectly in fucking IE11. Anyone else experiences this, or is there anything with the flash/HTML5 Youtube player that might make a difference? If so, how would I go about changing it?
If it weren't for the fact that IE11's font rendering sucks (and the lack of AdBlock), I'd have switched over already.

Fuck there's a scrollbar in any post with a larger than 12x12px image. Shit.
Should I maybe just get a 64gb SD card for my trip?

Dont know what you mean with font rendering.

What specifically is the goal of your technology conundrum and the trip? I mean, you're going to Japan. I would personally rather go out and see all the cool shit they have there than futz around with a computer.

Does it actually stop ads from even being downloaded (like in Firefox) or does it just hide them (like in Chrome)? Since I use ABP as much to speed loading and to stop drive-by malware as to hide ads from my vision, that's a big deal - particularly with IE's history regarding malware downloads.

I realize that IE is a bit zoomed in, but trust me, putting them both at a 100% doesn't do it any favours.
But AdBlock was really the most important thing - seems like IE will be my browser until I find something really shitty about it.
I tried ordering food online so I could eat lunch before my meeting, but it's been 10 minutes and the order hasn't even been confirmed yet. God damnit.
(Ordered at Red Robin Burgerworks, if you're curious.)

15 minutes later and there it is. Set to be picked up 15 minutes before the meeting starts. God damnit x 2
I'm starting to query whether I should reinstall Windows 7, system killing memory leaks are becoming common to the extent it happens every few days.

Well the plane trip in one direction totals at like 17 hours

That's normal for YT.
I kinda want to see if I can return my monoprice ips and get 3 of the ultra thin bezel aoc's. but I don't think my card can drive 3 monitors. and I don't think my psu can power an sli.
fuck.
welp did my ddos presentation.
the print lab was closed so i couldn't print my revised outline for and use it for notes.
i then decided to use my surface to read my note off of, but my nexus 5 wouldn't launch the camera app ,because lol ART runtime, to record myself (required to do so).
so i had to use my surface to record me and i gave the speech using my old outline that was out of order from my slideshow.
at least it's over now
Ebay is fun.
also how the fuck can there be free shipping on so many things? How does it even work? Bought 20 3.5mm plugs for 3€ and the shipping is free. like, they are sending it here from China, how can it be free? not complaining ofc.
They cost a penny to manufacture, two pennies of profit each and the rest of the cash goes to shipping costs

Usually they compensate with higher price.

Here's why. Items like these will usually get 5 star ratings which helps their rating as in the high 90% as positive. Which seller is more likely to sell stuff? One with 80% positive feedback or 99%?
[editline]3rd March 2014[/editline]
They can sell more expensive items more frequently because the buyer sees the 99% rating and would buy the expensive items without worrying much whether it will arrive or not, etc.

Them chinese are fast! (Replacement S-Pen for my phone)
If I remember correctly, there's a subsidy in Hong Kong where the local government pays for shipping, or at least a majority of it, in order to boost international trade.

Doesn't happen to me on Firefox, with W8.1, i5 2500k 4.4GHZ and 16gb ram and 780 ti.
Also i use chromeactions and force flash.
If only the referrers page still worked we could see where they're coming from. Or one of them could post but that might be expecting too much.
