So apparently Kingston has been tricking their SSD customers by switching out the NAND Controller to a slower one on their SSDs which caused some SSDs to get like 60% slower speeds.
Hello everyone. I don't really know if I fit in here but I emulate a lot of Old Games and I wonder if I should buy retro controllers that uses a 9-pin connector for my emulators?
Why not USB?
After the watch discussion a few pages back I just had to get one of these beauties!

can't stand analog ones
I also just tried Steam home streaming, I'm really impressed with it. I was streaming to my HTPC, which has a 2GHz C2D, a Radeon HD 6450 and is connected to my desktop with gigabit ethernet. I was streaming CS:GO to my TV while I controlled it with a Logitech K400 and still managed not to suck badly in Arms Race.
Even GTA IV played well enough, at least better than when I tried it on my PS3.

Have two of these myself.
Had one, but though I had lost it, so I bought a new one. Found the old one under my bed when moving and is now keeping the new one as a backup since the old one fits much better after about 10 months of use.

it forces chrome to crash so developers can test, turns out you can just turn them into a href:

chrome://kill
chrome://hang
you can check about:about or chrome://about for a list

Oh god, there's 2 developers from the Tox project on a show, being interviewed, live, right now.
Tox is a "Skype-replacement", made by fucking /g/

This is more entertaining than watching a train derail and start running over people.
Tried out new folder structure for my music.
Ended up not being able to find a single fucking thing, fuck it, deleted the entire thing.
But if I get a major amount of music from a a source I group it. Like Jamendo or Tunguska.

Will always favor the metal one over the plastic one. Metal looks so much better, and is easier to put on since you don't have any weird buckle on the wristband.

Also I love my Seiko 5 so much. It's pretty accurate (though since it doesn't 'hack' I can't set the second hand properly without letting it wind down and fff I can't keep it off :v: I sleep with the thing on) and it looks nice.

I think an analog watch looks a lot nicer, but digital watches are much better for functionality...if I'm gonna get a digital watch, I'll probably just get a Pebble or something since then I can take advantage of the fact that it's digital.
Back from cordoba! Watched Sneakers on the way back, god damn that movie is cheesy

Uses shitloads of bandwidth and your IP is shared to your contacts, but other than that, it's pretty ok.

I'm either going to have to find my old digital watch or buy a new one, because its really irritating not knowing what time it is while I'm out on my motorcycle, and of course you can't just pull your phone while riding. It would be nice to just flick my wrist and there it is.
If you haven't played mini metro, you shouldn't.
Because it's addicting as fuck.
truth be told my 'dream' watch would be a nixie watch, because it's such an awesome, rare thing. But it's also big, bulky, and not the most attractive thing. But damn if people wouldn't ask questions about it. :v:
Haha, oh wow Sony can't design antennas for shit. I was trying around Steam Home Streaming on my Vaio Pro and went into the furthest corner of our house, which isn't gigantic or made out of pure concrete. If I walked 10 feet I would be line of sight with the access point (Linksys E2000). I was streaming GTA IV at that point and I noticed the estimated bandwidth of the link was about 7Mbps. Games don't stream very well at 7Mbps.
I moved it to the kitchen counter, about 5 feet away and took this picture because I'm a lazy shit and already had my phone in my hand at the time:

Who here has played GTA: Chinatown Wars? I want a full game based solely on the drug trade in that game, it was so much fun.
Discovered this datasheet today...
http://ded.zenblue.net/FW900.pdf
My god, it's a 2304x1440 monitor that weighs 92lb.
Oh what the hell.
I have active protection, do a regular Malwarebytes scan, don't really go to any sites other than Facepunch and imgur, and boop! Some malware pops into my system and disables Task Manager and launching Chrome.
It's all fixed and cleaned but wow, sneaky little bastard came out of nowhere whatever it was.

Oh yeah, that game. It was pretty fun. The trading was great too.
I thought I was really close with this one. I managed to make a PPTP VPN from my desktop rig in my dorm room on the wired network. And then connect to it with my Linux laptop over the wireless network (two different subnets you see).
What I was hoping was that the Steam client on each PC would see each other and then I could use that to use Steam In-Home stream over the school's LAN. I was real close I think. I even got internet access to work (laptop thinks its on the wired connection and has a wired address).
However, it doesn't seem like whatever magic packet steam sends out is going over the VPN connection. Well damn. Back to the drawing board I guess.
So, been going through all my JCCC4 stuff. Got most of it sorted, so here, have some live Code Monkey.
Video is NOT mine. I grabbed it from the official videographer guy. Audio is mine.

Pretty damn happy with the result.
I'll be posting a LOT more soon. Both video and photos.
