Anyone use a Powerline adaptor for their computer? Is there any advantages or disadvantages of using it over just general Ethernet wire?
It can be really good and it can be REALLY unstable. As Protocol7 says, depends on how good your wirings are, so that depends on how new your home is. If you can, use a cable.
With a $300 program I got the files off the RAID 5 drives :yarr: . Costly mistake. :suicide:
A good wifi setup is more expensive but worthwhile. Those Apple Airport Extremes are crazy good routers - I bought an old used one to replace a cheap Netgear and wireless speeds tripled and it doesn't drop randomly anymore, plus I actually get a wifi signal in my room. There are of course, other good routers, I just have experience with Airport Extremes. :v:
My computer just bluescreened for the first time in who knows how long for no reason Let's hope it was just a fluke and won't happen again [editline]2nd March 2014[/editline] Dammit AMD get your fucking drivers together
What is that program you are using?
It can be really good and it can be REALLY unstable. As Protocol7 says, depends on how good your wirings are, so that depends on how new your home is.
Anyone use a Powerline adaptor for their computer? Is there any advantages or disadvantages of using it over just general Ethernet wire?
I bought a set of £15 for both powerline adapters for my mum as we had big WiFi problems, and I haven't heard any complaints about the network connection dropping or being slow that isn't related to the internet. The wiring of the house was done very cheaply by previous occupants but they still work perfectly for internet browsing on ADSL, I never bothered to test the performance of file copy or anything.
wait, hold on, what the hell happened to Bitcoin? its dead?
nah, it's not dead. just 2 huge exchanges (a.k.a. banks) crashed and lot's of bitcoins went missing.
nah, it's not dead. just 2 huge exchanges (a.k.a. banks) crashed and lot's of bitcoins went missing.
Well, it's their own damn fault for trading with an exchanged called "Magic The Gathering Online eXchange".... Though, I only heard of Gox going down, what wast the other?
Brilliant, I think I've found a solution to my screen tearing issue. For some reason running both of my monitors on the same refresh rate seems to cause it, so having one at 60Hz and the other at 59 completely fixes it without any noticeable difference

Fuck, for this new project I have to use a old fucking version of a pervasive database. D: [editline]6th March 2014[/editline]
Went to a Japanese place for lunch today.
What kind of tank did you get?
"What are Cherry MX blacks?"
ftfy
"What are Cherry MX reds?"
tbh unlike mx reds they seem to be a "tightened up" still-clicky version of MX blues which cherry hasn't really come out with For all the flak Razer gets some of its designs are interesting if you ignore the price point (i.e. Razer Blade)
What mostly bothers me about Razer is that they're pushing their own apparel now just as much as their electronics. It's like they're trying to make their brand the new Monster Energy where every douche wears their logo on a baseball cap, except it's for GAMERZ.
That advertising

I could be biased though, I am not a fan of Razer.

My friend had many keys snap on his razer mech but the switches were fine.
