Brt's title, that thing takes about a millennium to load on some days
It's... actually a jpg. Always has been. I name it PNG so I don't have to re buy the title to change the link. [editline]9th March 2014[/editline] The title: [t]http://puu.sh/7oKMA.png[/t] Another random jpg. [t]http://puu.sh/7oKNI.png[/t] A random PNG I had lying around of Dale from TWD (Why? I don't know.): [t]http://puu.sh/7oKOn.png[/t]
I hate JPEG, fucking artefacts. PNG looks alot better but I won't enforce my opinion on anyone else.
.bmp best image format.
I hate JPEG, fucking artefacts. PNG looks alot better but I won't enforce my opinion on anyone else.
a 100% quality jpeg will be much lower in size and look just as good as PNG for photos. PNG is for graphics. if you want lossless photos, use raw or tiff
.bmp best image format.
Nah, DNG. It makes my favourite type of files.
a 100% quality jpeg will be much lower in size and look just as good as PNG for photos. PNG is for graphics. if you want lossless photos, use raw or tiff
Obviously raw or tiff would be a better choice for lossless photos, what I was doing was comparing the two formats. And while I have seen Jpeg photos look as good as their PNG equivalent its only when they are high enough resolution to be zoomed in. Zoom in and the illusion is over.
what illusion? if you want to pixel peep, save as DNG or something. most people save photos to look at, not closely inspect at 100% crop
tried looking for a general questions thread in the programming subforum but didn't find one, so asking it here instead. why exactly is java so frowned upon as a programming language? it's a popular language, yet people seem to hate it a lot.

I program in Java at work and in School, and I like it. Especially, since I can develop on any OS, and run the final product on any OS.
It makes working with shit when all it does is just consistently trashes everything and if you don't trash it and because I work with MC yeah it makes working with it hard.
I don't really get what you're trying to get through here. what do you mean?

Can anyone spot the error?
Can anyone spot the error?
intel A4?
intel A4?
And it's Acer. :v:
Bought $20 PS2 weeks ago, fixed it, swapped it for a 360 S 4GB today. Aw yeah. Got a wired controller with it too, I can finally stop bitching about games not having DirectInput support.
So here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GgBGnApLubA The game looks horrible and it's very boring, so it's hard to write a review and trying to not sound like a dick to it.
Well, it seems like you were in contact with the reviewer, so it might be hard to be harsh. But really, in my opinion you should focus on being completely frank - but still of course state that the developer seems like he wants to push out updates, etc., that might solve those issues. The pacing in the review was a bit weird, though I guess the nature of the game could have something to do with that.
I'm so bored, I'm going through my list of stupid ideas, and testing them. I'm running out of stupid ideas.
Does the coin just hold the batteries in if you're missing the case?
Nope, doesn't work without the coin. I can also do with with a screwdriver, but it's bloody hard to keep in place.
Use a wad of tin foil.
So, apparently the Nokia N900 uses a daemon to do battery charging, instead of the usual method. Which means, that if your battery runs out, and the phone shuts down, the daemon that's in charge of handling the charging, and even allowing the charging circuit to charge the battery, isn't on, so the phone can't charge the battery. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall when that was being designed.
I was skeptical but sure enough that seems to be the case :v: Who on earth decided that was a good idea? The whole charging side should be handled by an external power management IC and the OS should be told what's happening. Really dumb.
...wait, then what happens if you want to charge your discharged phone it just doesn't work anymore?
...wait, then what happens if you want to charge your discharged phone it just doesn't work anymore?
In the case of 99.9999999999% of phones, the circuitry just charges the phone. With the N900, you have to put the battery into a phone that uses the same battery, that's not an N900, and charge it with that, or use some sort of external charging device.

I'm hitting the ceiling of my ISP's speed so I have no plans to change.
should i buy a thinkpad x61 for £30
If it isn't damaged then why shouldn't? The resolution is a downer tho.
If it isn't damaged then why shouldn't? The resolution is a downer tho.
the price is going up :v:
