That's like when I found that shift+arrow highlights and shift + tab makes tab go backwards (thanks C64 keyboard) and that spacebar = enter on tick boxes.
If you've got two monitors, Win+Shift+Left/Right (and of course Win+Arrow keys, but I think most people know about that by now)
What's the difference between Corsair AF and SP fans?
What's the difference between Corsair AF and SP fans?
AF fans are for complete air flow, SP are for static pressure. Put simply, Use SP fans on watercoolers, AF fans on everything else. Of course, you can use static pressure for everything else but you'd want to have a good idea of your airflow before making that choice.
Reinstalled GTAIV for mods again, how the fuck can I now run it with 2x2 SSAA when last year it ran at a worse frame rate at 1080p. The only difference is that now I'm using newish windows 7 on my SSD vs old bloated windows 7 on HDD, all other hardware is the same.
Looks like the work (dev) mysql server had been working harder than I have expected:

You'd be amazed at what affects GTA IV
I went from Vista to 7 on an SSD and added 2gb of Ram, I'm pretty sure it performs worse now
GTA IV for PC is cursed software, I tell ye
For internet sure.
For accessing shared files. Forget it. I'm not spending an hour pushing a season of TV over wifi when I can do it in 5 minutes over LAN.
On the 5ghz network I easily push like 150mbps or more through the local network.
Wireless has gone really far. Hell, on a 4G network I could easily blast through my 2GB data cap in 3-5 minutes if I really wanted to. And that's much longer distance and much more well-used than a home wireless network.
IT IS ALIVE!

Just gotta get the right connectors now since right now the distance between the sensor and the first lens is all wonky, which results in some focusing troubles.
Then I'll shoot for the stars (Astronomy).

GTA5 PC is just a blank disc calling it now
iBoss still has yet to block this Google Data Compression Proxy.
This is great. My school is so strict with phones and the internet.
Well I got two Cisco routers on my desk right now, one is a WRT320N (Wireless-N Gigabit router), the other a WRT54G2 V1 (Wireless-G broadband router).
Maybe I'd turn one of them in a switch or something.
Any cool, whacky things I could do with one of these, if not both of em?

Java
So, I just came into possession of a recently decommissioned poweredge 2800 server from work. THey didn't want it, and now i have it.
Dual Xeons, dunno if single or dual core
enough space for shittons of DDR2 memory
Redundant hotswappable drives, power supplies, and cooling fans
This cool ass floppy and cd drive thing that fits in one slot
Its way cool.
Doesn't come with any drives, but it has space for 8 80pin SCSIs and dad says he has 2 73gb 80pin SCSIs that I'm free to have, plus it has USB so I can easily boot it from whatever.
I'm thinking dedicated game server at the apartment. Fuck yearh.
Texted roommate with "Soooo... if I came home with a decommissioned dual xeon corporate serverrr..."
He texted back immediately with "Go on"
If anyone can do subnetting and fancies a £5 steam game, add me on steam.

Wow I'm genuinely lost for words. I think as a thank you I'm going to brave the camera and post my ugly mug with the unit in the Home Audio thread.
I'm still dizzy since yesterday.
Driving was a rush.
I just discovered that Defraggler has been defragging my SSD RAID cluster every week for the past 3 month. Fucking piece of shit
My car tail light went out. It's totaled, RIP.
RIP in park.
Oh, fuck. A new bulb is $4. I only have $473 in my bank account. T_T
And that's not even considering labor costs!
I haven't used Sony Vegas in ages, rendering a video right now with the GPU acceleration stuff they have.
OpenCL with a 5770 feels like cheating when I compare it to how bloody long it took with a CPU ages ago.
The only formats that accept OpenCL encoding fucking suck though, so it's not worth it.
