So Imageshack is dead. Didn't know that.
Didn't they go like "Paid service only".
Didn't they go like "Paid service only".
That's pretty much dead. Why would anyone pay for a service that used to be free? I wouldn't.

Not just that. A HORRIBLE service.
Imageshack was horrible when it was free.
My problem with password managers is that I don't trust them, especially not when it comes to mobile apps or cloud solutions. I've used KeePass on my PC for a while, but then I'd be fucked if I don't have access to it (e.g. at university).
It's a good thing more and more sites are getting two-step authentication or are using stuff like OpenID, but that still leaves the (sometimes terribly insecure) sites that don't.
The only Password manager I trust is Keepass.
[editline]11th March 2014[/editline]
Oh and Plain Text files that are in a truecrypt container.
I only trust sticky notes under my keyboard
I use some easy to remember passwords for my Email accounts, then I use randomly generated passwords for everything else just to make sure if my Keepass database gets corrupted, I'm still good.
usually back up the database too to my external HDD and my phone, so travelling places isn't usually that big of a problem
I use a 50 Character Password to make sure my Email-Client can't be cracked by having a bad password, because if my Email gets compromised, every account I have would be compromised, since you could reset the passwords of each account and you could set a new pass trough the mail provided in the compromised account.

Also, I got myself a VPN. is BTguard good?
Snapped my self up a second hand 680 for under $120 NZD. or 80 Euros.
Not bad.

Its massive though, you might have to squeeze it into your case.
My dealer, and by that I mean my coworker who feeds my addiction to computer junk, has supplied me with a toy for the server I recently acquired. an HP Ethernet/50-pin scsi/68-pin scsi PCI board. Should go nicely in this server.

Also my phone is convinced I'm in central time. The clock has "current time" and "home time" shown.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a VPN?

VyprVPN is a pretty good one
My question is how you actually use a complex password. I havr to protect from my family getting on my shit as well so just "Remember Me" won't work.
Do you just enter a password when you turn on your computer and then it autofills passwords?

If you use KeyPass its just an encrypted databse of usernames and passwords that you gain access to with a superpassword. I beleive it can do auto-fill although i've never tried it.

[editline]11th March 2014[/editline]
oh one of the threads I commented on got to the frontpage, no big deal
I need to bitch about something.
I make web analytics. I'm not a web designer though; my main focus is on the math side. Anyway my company has been (understandably) complaining about my simplistic site designs for my analytics so they tasked our web designers to come up with a fancy new site layout for me to throw my charts on.
They finally finished their amazing redesign and sent it over to me... as a PSD.
"Thanks... I guess. I'm not a web designer, I don't have photoshop on my workstation, and I don't really know how to translate your design into code. What I really need is some PNG files, a CSS layout, and maybe an HTML template."
"Sorry, we don't know how to do that."
Thank you, web design team.
Speaking of imgshack earlier, I found this on my account:
IIRC, that's actually a GPU off of a Geforce 7600 GT

that's what front-end developers are for.
i really don't understand why you would use photoshop for creating website design
i find it way easier to just start off with blank html & css files and just go

I get faster results with Photoshop.
urgh the ads in spotify are annoying. They pop up every time I click on the window, and play between every two songs.

I think geforce experience is broken. When I try and open it it shows a pop up that says it can't connect, try again later. It finally opened, for the first time in days.
Now I get this.

uhh...

how does one burn in in under a hour
My phone.

Its magical.
Is there maybe a specific port geforce experience is trying to use to ping nvidia that might be blocked on my router by default? I think when I switched over to Ethernet is about the time it stopped working right.

I don't get it.

Except for all the elements being misaligned and looking like shit I don't see whats "magical"?

So, it worked previously, but upon switching to ethernet instead of (wireless I guess?) it went wonky?
I'd wager that upon switching it, you got a different IP from the router. At that point, any previously forwarded ports probably don't work anymore.
