I have a "dumb phone" so I can't really use it as a tether.

Unless you have a SIM card/plan that's dedicated to 4G/3G data sharing, getting one is completely pointless. You're better off getting any smartphone instead, since they all have mobile data sharing abilities nowadays.

It is C#, but this is from a game engine not winforms, events are useful for typing but not so much for moving etc. Even so it could've been replaced with

I mean, while I'm absolutely taken aback by the amount of commitment and preservation that's been pumped into the project, I think it's too dependent on other external projects in order to make it all work (mostly WINE) to make it become the complete replacement for Windows they strove for it to be.
