Mozilla just killed the Metro-version of Firefox, they never had even a thousand daily users.
Less than a thousand daily users. That is actually hilarious.

Yeah, even as a happy Windows 8 user, I haven't used a "Metro" app in over a month.

Metro is okay for some things. A web browser it aint. Even on tablets. Hell, I just use Chrome desktop ever since they added proper touch controls (Even if the keyboard stuff was put together by a fucking retarded monkey)
The only metro app I use is Slacker.
whats the best way to learn to start using linux?
Alcohol and anger management classes.
Mint, or any other derivitive of Ubuntu, purely for documentation. Once you get the hang of it, do something like Arch or Gentoo.
get wrecked best buy
my angry email scored me a phone call from some one in their marketing team and some dude from texas who sounded really sad about me not getting $10
I guess typing in capital letters really does help get a point across
I went from not getting $10 in credit to a free video game and $100 in credit

Can't believe I just heard of this - and it's getting shut down, and it was removed from MEGA of all places....
Thankfully it was open source and someone will likely fork it.

I had a $5 bestbuy gift card one of my old supervisors gave me "because I was a hard worker" in my wallet for 3 years that I never used. No idea where it went but it's not in my wallet anymore.
Actually, checking the giftcards in my wallet...A Mcdonalds card I swear was empty says it has $10 on it, and a subway card I also thought was empty has $5 on it. :v:

yeah if I'm going to ever get a pebble (maybe when I get a job and a steadier flow of cash) I'll get it off ebay. They pretty commonly start around $85, just gotta play the bidding game.

Yeah, 30Hz is...ew no thanks.

I guess it's a TN rather an IPS display too.
whats the best way to learn to start using linux?
Baby-steps in Ubuntu first, inside a virtual machine.
Then Linux Mint in a virtual machine (so you get used to the fact that it's the same system even though it has a different label).
Then either Mint through LiveUSB or dualboot, or Debian in a virtual machine (getting used to a real system vs digging deeper into the system).
If you went with Mint with LiveUSB/dualboot, you'll want to start digging deeper into what the fuck the Linux-portion of GNU/Linux is.
If you went with Debian in a VM, Arch Linux in a VM is probably a good next step, same goal as Mint-option, except it's even more head-first.
For reference, I've been using Linux since what, 2007 or 2008, and I use Debian full-time on my laptop nowadays. I went over to Arch for like a bit more than a month, but I didn't like how their software repository system works.
Anyone here host a TS server?
No, because everyone here is smart enough to use Mumble instead of TeamSpeak.
gross
Anyone here host a TS server?
Yup, depends on what you need it for though.
Anyone here host a TS server?
I do. Why?
Yup, depends on what you need it for though.
Thanks anyways but I don't need it anymore.
Well tell us what you wanted one for at least.
The /v/idya gaem awards 2013 are going on right now on Twitch.
Gone Home has managed to win like every award where they call the game shit, except the one award where they focused on technical problems (Simcity won that).
Gone Home has also been dubbed as "Gone Homo" by the chat.
Buy a can of compressed air? They're like $10

But don't turn it upside down and spray it on yourself, unless you like frostbite scars
Sure is nice having one of these available whenever I need it. Breaks shit if I'm not careful though.
Since you guys use canned air regularly, has anyone thought of buying one of those 12v compressors they have for cars, and hooking it up to a 12v wall wart? You can get like four times the pressure, forever for the price of three or four cans.

Against my better financial judgment and my hatred of Asus I bought a T100 (the full Windows 8 tablet hybrid.) I like it. Unlike my laptop, it gets battery life past one hour and doesn't take literally 10 minutes to start Chrome.
Personally I love air compressors over canisters. They're cheaper in the long run and force more dust out.
Side question: Isn't there a script that adds a big pie chart of user ratings to your profile page, or a website like that? I remember there being one but I can't remember how to get to it.
