The problem was as well even if a game did implement widescreen you had to adjust the aspect ratio by hand as I don't think it had SCART switching.
I don't know about that then. Being American, all we have is composite, S-video, and component, none of which can communicate that its a widescreen signal, unless its explicitly implied (720p-1080p for example). You just sort of had the tell the TV to stretch the screen if you know its supposed to be widescreen if its a 480i/p signal.
I'm going to be streaming this ugly game: http://www.twitch.tv/sircrest

Its still useful to TVs today when watching SD channels as it can use the data for the switching to frame it correctly.
Wanna know something stupid? My friend is being forced to take a midterm tonight, a midterm that he scheduled a month ago for another day. He was supposed to work tonight, and is now probably getting fired because nobody can cover for him, all because his stupid teacher didn't honor the previously agreed upon date.
seems like i've gone and bricked the damned ps3 seventh gen console homebrew, I s2g

It would be nice for all these people that insist on stretching 4:3 content to a 16:9 screen here. Ick.

Not as necessary since everything is digital nowadays anyway, but people still insist on taking a letterboxed 4:3 channel and then stretching it width wise. It looks horrible.

Was messing with SSTV and porn. Managed to make a cool looking thing.
Also during owning 3 PS2s I have managed to clock over 1000 hours into Timesplitters Future Perfect. One of the best shooters and arcade action games ever known to PS2.
What about TimeSplitters 2? The whole franchise is fucking incredible in multiplayer. Virus, especially, and Flame Tag.
Started my apprenticeship today, and there's some guy who has been doing it for 3 months. He was 'cleaning' a computer using a vacuum cleaner. I suggested to one of the higher ups about buying compressed air canisters, but when he saw the price of £5 he didn't seem interested.

Woo, did framework stuff for a project that ISN'T that fucking monster I've been on for two years or whatever. Feels good being able to write framework stuff that actually works cleanly. Got a pair of generic get functions and an update function working, used those to make a basic user login system. The whole thing was less LOC than just the constructor of the base model in the monster project. The monster one isn't that bad, really, but there's so many little things that are ugly but are too much work to change because of how much existing code there is, and because it grew so much there's a lot that's just hacked on rather than properly planned out.
I had a dream that terrorists took over a shopping mall and their only goal was to replace the Windows on all of the computers with Linux

Woah, Google now is nice when you're traveling. I'm in Portugal this week, and it's showing me stuff like attractions, translations (it's kinda late now so it's showing me how to say goodnight in Portuguese), and currency conversion rates.
I feel better. http://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/20iy45/what_halflife_2_looks_like_when_frameblending_for/cg4yyd9 Read it. He still can't understand that he's wrong.
That looks really nice, I'm dreaming about the day we'll be able to have 600fps monitors though. I mean its the sweet point to me for interpolation with 24,25 and 30 FPS fitting in it perfectly.
It'd be sick if Steam Big Picture was touchscreen friendly. The UI is certainly close enough.
