Why would you use anything other than a cardboard box
Cos there's no room for me to sleep in there otherwise.
Celerons and pentiums are not bad actually considering who they are aimed at. Most of the builds at the shop are made from G1610 celerons and they run windows 7 really well. You probably could game pretty well on one too.

So for those that saw my twitter with that last patreon tweet at Feb 21st. I deleted it and my entire feed instantly updated the last 4 weeks.
Fucking 36MB/s download speeds from Origin. Holy SHIT
IBM makes sinister looking mainframes, [t]http://origin.arstechnica.com/news.media/z890.jpg[/t]
that just looks like a sideways plotter
It was the audio compression. I rendered with uncompressed audio and the render finished an hour later.
Fucking 36MB/s download speeds from Origin. Holy SHIT
my desktop is vibrating violently, I'm afraid it'll fly out of my window
my desktop is vibrating violently, I'm afraid it'll fly out of my window
There are like 13 internet using machines connected to the internet, so 36 megs down one pipe is pretty remarkable IMO. Still, blows steam outta the fucking water for me
Apparently Origin doesn't actually show the real download speed, but the speed if the file was uncompressed. Or so I've heard.
I'm pretty amused by this too, it just keeps getting better [editline]20th March 2014[/editline] no way I'm actually downloading at that rate though, must be something going on locally
yeah for sure
My Titanfall downloaded in like 30 minutes and there's no way that was done on a 4MB/sec download rate
Yea well I get 900MB/s so fuck you guys
Yea well I get 900MB/s so fuck you guys
i too, lie on the internet
I remember when steam didn't have shit download speeds then again it's down to the servers you're using to download them from, I have mine purposely set to LA. Why? because my closest one is a pile of dicks and I practically get dial up from that. if bad grammar rating was still alive holy shit i would get so many right now
The closest one to me is Seattle, and it does a damn good job for me. Steam keeps resetting it to San Jose for some reason though.
I get my full download speed in Steam on the Seattle server. All 3.4mb/s
I get 9.1MB/s on my 70/10 connection when downloading through steam, not gonna complain
I can download Quake in 4 seconds
The closest one to me is Seattle, and it does a damn good job for me. Steam keeps resetting it to San Jose for some reason though.
I always try to force it to "Seattle (Comcast)"
I had some fun taking pictures.
IBM makes sinister looking mainframes, [t]http://origin.arstechnica.com/news.media/z890.jpg[/t]
z990. That is an old as hell chassis. Modern (About to be replaced, though) zEC12 chassis are badass. And yes, some of the edges do glow blue.
I'd prefer something that looks big and functional.
I'm not sure what you mean by this. I mean, sure, if you use z/OS you really don't want it to be functional, but it's also slightly taller than a 42u. So it's certainly got "big" down.
So, Titanfall is alright, but I'm super mad I still paid 45 bucks for it. It's got the same problems as every other broshooter. It should have been 40 bucks on release considering it's just a multiplayer shooter.
I'll wait till it's on sale. The beta was tits, but I'm still glad I didn't buy it on release.
