noticed that the game also suffers from some major issues when it comes to Crossfire, from what I read and experienced. makes the game literally unplayable. constant stuttering, visual artifacts, etc. gonna have to give it a second try after disabling crossfire

Yeah it is. My rig with quad sli 590 and i7 2600k uses almost 1KW power when I'm gaming according to Kill-A-Watt.
My poor power bill ;~;
I have a KW psu too, but it's not branded. Looks like a heavy duty enterprise grade one though.

SO MANY GOD DAMN WIRES. I have them all tucked behind the mobo plate but the back of my case is bulging out from the wires just enough to be hard to get on. Otherwise they completely block an intake fan.
