You mentioned that you have a W150ER with a overclocked GPU?
Well shit, I have one too as a replacement from the company and I'm gonna look into that.
http://biosmods.wordpress.com/w150er/
The OV edition gives a tiny bit more voltage at max boost and unlocks the GPU clocks, I can quite happily run +220MHz on the GPU and +500MHz on the memory.

This is for the Intel GPU? If that's the case, then I use my Nividia over the Intel for gaming.
so, I'm an idiot. Shoulda confirmed whether or not USB boot was a thing on this server.
Turns out it was.
Thaaaaat changes everything.
Now the server is up and running, and currently being tested with a minecraft server. Nothing major.
I think this is gonna turn out juuuust fiiiiine...

Only thing that's fucked up about it (imo) is that they can lock the phones to the point where they can't make emergency calls
Only thing that's fucked up about it (imo) is that they can lock the phones to the point where they can't make emergency calls
I would think emergency calling is something that cannot and should not be disabled. I believe it's in law, for us that is, regardless if the phone has no SIM or has the SIM disabled or even if it's locked, it should always be able to make a emergency call unless the school really put an effort to also block the dialer.
umm, what could cause a black screen on a monitor? it shows the picture for a split second after turning it on then goes completely black as if it's turned off
[editline]21st March 2014[/editline]
backlight on the monitor seems to be flickering for the short time it works, think it's faulty. weird that it happened today considering I remember thinking to myself yesterday "man, I'd never be able to go back to a single monitor" :v:

Bad inverter / backlight driver?
Try lowering the screen brightness and seeing if it works for longer.

I haven't tried that yet, but I did try flashing my phone light on the screen while having it enabled and the picture is there, just very dim like on an old gameboy without backlight. think that confirms it?
Sounds like the backlight inverter caps gave up. Any smells?
I sure wish I had a GF here
BF > GF
BF > GF
Last time when I checked, Bing Fibre doesn't exist
Sounds like the backlight inverter caps gave up. Any smells?
not sure if it's just my imagination but I think it smells burned electronics
not sure if it's just my imagination but I think it smells burned electronics
You know what that smell is?
Smells like....cap replacement.
not sure if I'm gonna bother fixing or just buy a new one considering it's a 1680x1050 monitor from 2005. could come in handy as a server console though or a third screen
I haven't noticed much performance gain with anything over 1600Mhz.
My laptop has more RAM than my desktop, like I give a fuck.
I haven't noticed much performance gain with anything over 1600Mhz.
You get something like 1 or 2 FPS going from 1600 to 2100 in some, not all, games. My experience, and from what I've read, is that you can also seriously lower your processor's overclock stability limit by bumping up the RAM too much.
I can only think of a few applications where extremely high speed memory matters, and most of those revolve around huge databases being stored in memory in one fashion or another.
Tonight, I break Microsoft Support Chat.
Well I would, for RAM previews of uncompressed video.
Nothing gets more silly then having Microsoft Tech Support remoting on a computer that I'm also remoting.
Then

You should get one of those fake Microsoft scammers to remote in, too.
Have him and the legit guy duke it out in Mortal Kombat.

Aw hell naw. We are to believe that the person who owned my friend's computer might've pirated Windows or worse, the Rent-2-Own place that provided the computer.
[editline]21st March 2014[/editline]
Doing that kind of trade is illegal, right?

If it was the company who sold it, AFAIK you can get a reward for turning them in :v:
Just hooked up my Xbox 360, it hasn't been connected for years.
Plugged into network and now it's probably going to sit there, installing updates, for the next few years.
Fuck Comcast I haven't had internet for nearly two hours :suicide:
[editline]21st March 2014[/editline]
And I can't get USB tethering to work for some reason
Internet works great here. All day, most erry day
Mine seems to go out for two hours at least once a month
[editline]21st March 2014[/editline]
I'll have to make due with the scraps of porn I keep locally
Mines so reliable I don't even bother to save porn locally.
[editline]21st March 2014[/editline]
Actually, I've never had to.
