The codecs vegas uses really are just for it's own use. It otherwise uses the system codecs installed.
If you were looking to export from vegas, you COULD use the x264 vfw, but it sucks ass. Which is why I tell people to never compress out of vegas. Export lossless avi and do it in a competent program.
Well, I taped the battery of my brother's phone to it to make sure it'll stay on without me having to hold it, and did a hard reset.
I got myself a working smartphone for just 9 euros for a new battery.
So with the server up and running, roommate realized last night that... it has no desktop. No GUI whatsoever. Could we install one? Sure, but that takes up precious space and resources and honestly I got some sick pleasure out of watching my roommate's face as he realizes he's going to have to learn BASH in order to use this thing.

What's a competent program, handbrake?
That or adobe media encoder, commandline x264 (What I use), or even virtualdub and something like xvid or even x264 vfw through virtualdub works much better.
