Yes, the game Core 2 Duo'd
It crashed to desktop without an error message.
Titanfall runs like shit and that's even on lowest settings. Why are AAA games for PC always horribly optimized? Anyone remember the first Black Ops and its microstuttering issue? I should hope a HD 6850 and an i5 2500k can run the game on at least Low without performance tanking.
ooh, that is kinda small. is it the same connector as CF?
Compact Flash? No.
The HD6850 is a 3 generation old mid range GPU and not a particularly good one at that:

I'm not surprised you're seeing performance issues.
It's not that I get bad FPS, it's that I get brief periods where the game just stutters (usually leading to my death.) Some maps are worse than others - I thought people were lying when they said Lagoon murdered their FPS, but nope.
I won't mind shitty performance as long as it's consistently shitty. Having spurts of 60+ FPS intermixed with a half second freeze isn't fun.

I want to upgrade my GPU too, but I just bought that T100. As nice as it'd be to have a nicer graphics card, I still play mostly WoW and I need a mobile computer more than I need a new graphics card.
wtf
I just started up Homefront(I know it's terrible but I like the multiplayer) looked in the options and it c2d without an error message. Now when I try and re open it I get this:

Wait. Homefront's multiplayer is still active?
Wait. Homefront's multiplayer is still active?
It was last time I played.
When was that? Despite the campaign being complete poop the multiplayer was decent.
like a month or two ago :v:
Oh :v:
Last time I played it was probably over a year ago.
Given the means I'd buy bluray copies of my favorite movies if only to alleviate disk space usage
I've only ever owned one Blu ray movie, and that was the remastered edition of Alien.
I don't know what happened I guess I should have refreshed

I was reading SCP wiki for 2 hours and came back and forgot to refresh the page :v:

Actually CF's eletrical interface is IDE, and it's electrically compatible with the standard IDE that your desktop computer uses, except the physical connectors are mechanically different in terms of size and whatnot.

So it's not dead, but it's not exactly alive either.

A whole 14 people.
15 if you count me. :v:

aaand it just dropped down to 5
My HSPA USB modem has a microSD slot, so it can be used as a reader, and MTP with my phone is flaky when you transfer 10+ GB of music.
Never thought I'd use the damn thing like this.

My desktop doesn't use IDE but yes you are correct. There's an extremely simple adapter easily available that lets you plug CF cards straight into IDE ports. Many industrial computers have their operating systems installed on CF cards plugged right into IDE due to its simplicity and reliability.

The game has problems on higher end systems too. It just has generally bad performance all around, unfortunately. But I can get higher than low on my 6870 and 2600k (I like how my system is the smallest possible jump up from you), I sit on med with some things low with mixed frame rates and stuttering.
For once Hearthstone didn't freeze my computer!

and I'm on a 6870 (would be crossfire if the game didn't break crossfire) and a i5 661, almost maxed out every setting other than texture res and anti aliasing (no AA and very high texture res). runs okay to me, but I'm plagued by micro stutters

Res and FPS? That's really funky. Oh, and do you have VSync on? I've heard some reports of that somehow fixing the framerate problems for some.
Is Titanfall worth the price if I'm not a huge fan of bro shooters but love big stompy robots?

It's no normal CoD in the slightest. I'd say wait until the price drops a bit and more feature updates (As fantastic as the game is, it really lacks a lot of multiplayer functionality)
