It shouldn't do steps like that, unless it's meant to. Other than that it's really weird...
It's probably that fucking google play service that drains your battery too. Happend on my Gnex too which already has bad battery, but with the play service its gets 2x worse. Weird thing was also i could switch to as many roms and do a fresh install , it always came back one of the reason i switched to windows phone 8.
Apparently 3.7h of screen on time according to the graph, for a tablet that sounds kinda shitty
Well I'm a half heavy tablet user, and I used to hog the iPad and that lasts almost 3 days of heavy use. Then again, no active pen support on the iPad makes me feel that it isn't worth buying. So I needed the Note 8 for that.

Presumably anything using location services, for instance, would add to the battery consumption of Play Services
SSD arrived, threw the HDD into my old laptop and booted it, I fucking love Linux. Sure, my window manager is claiming there's no WiFi, no battery and it can't read CPU temperatures, because the settings are made for a Lenovo ThinkPad Edge, and I'm running it in an old HP laptop, but at least it boots, and works. Have to do a weird live-transfer of sorts to get my installation moved over to my SSD.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113343 ah yes, you're correct. Thanks :v: [editline]23rd March 2014[/editline] another question. can i just pop in my old hdd with all my stuff and OS or will i need a new one?
Sysprep with the generalize box checked will reset the drivers back to default. You'll probably want to grab your key first.
http://80.71.129.99/test.mp4 please work
it works in Canada but it doesn't load fast enough. Either... 1) the video bitrate is too high and useless 2) your upload is too slow I was on a 100Mbps down connection.

As long as it works locally...
I think we can safely...
is it possible to put videos in .mp4 format in video tags here on the forum? I've seen some of them here and there, but I haven't gotten it to work properly myself (just links it instead, no HTML5 player)

Actually try choosing a different speedtest server, choose one in Toronto, Canada.
3 monitors, a high performance PC, a switch, a steering wheel w/ force feedback, my raspberry pi and a shitload of dust and dirt. This can't be good.
Had to hack the NSA and everything....
didn't know religion and shit was public, could swear it was private
didn't know religion and shit was public, could swear it was private
If it were private... then... why did you even bother to input it? Also, found a mini snes, controller, hookups, and 3 games at goodwill for $25. Fuckin scoooore
[vid] tags to embed videos, but it only seems to work with .webm
It works for mp4 aswell.
It works for mp4 aswell.
Every time me or a friend tries, it just gives you an unsupported format error, even though it works through the link
I know that but for some reason it bugs itself and runs in the background even though you are not using any apps that are using the Google Play Service.
Maybe it's just calling home for orders from Google to take over the world or something
I know that but for some reason it bugs itself and runs in the background even though you are not using any apps that are using the Google Play Service.
google play services also handles: -android device manager -any geofencing you might be doing -google now location features -authentication with google servers -chromecasts
I'm surprised geofencing isn't being used more in Android apps, just the concept gives me a semi.
It's spring break and my best friend is in 'Stralya seeing his girlfriend, plus everyone else is tied up with work, so I figured I'd take a crack at learning guitar. My only comment is, oh, so this is what a callused finger feels like? :v:
Novatech's social media is great https://twitter.com/NovatechLtd I'm half tempted to send them a postcard-tweet now
google play services also handles: -android device manager -any geofencing you might be doing -google now location features -authentication with google servers -chromecasts
some apps won't let you use the app unless you have the latest version of google play services

Just switched ISP. 10 times faster internet. The first time I have fapped to a progress bar in a long time.
And I seem to be the only one that's noticed that comments about the age of Pentium's hardware (sincere or otherwise) consistently and universally results in a level of shit posting rivaled only by Speedtests. [editline]24th March 2014[/editline] For those who don't feel like reading the upcoming drama, here's the tl;dr: - Pentium's gonna see the comment soon and get overzealously mad - Everyone else is going to spend their time making more comments about Pentium's hardware in response - Cycle continues until distraction occurs
Pentium can be needlessly mean just like the rest of us. But most of us don't like seeing someone waste money, and the performance/dollar ratio of that hardware can't compare to even modern mid-low range hardware. Save up, and an i3, decent mobo, 8gb ram, 650 Ti would blow his mind. Besides 4 way 7950GX2's? He'll burn his small savings away in power.
