have fun downloading torrents, then seeding them for for like 20 times as long
It does annoy me that it's not at least a 10:1 ratio, but torrents don't bother me because my computer usually seeds in the background all night, I tend to hit a 1:1 ratio on torrents within 4 hours. But that was on my old connection, 60/3.

If you want unlimited, you can only get ADSL
I am shocked that unmodified Unreal Tournament 3 runs perfectly fine in Windows 8. It even supports widescreen with some config file tweaking. This also means Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force runs on W8, as well as Elite Force II!

I'm having an interesting issue, I've plugged my desktop into my TV with an HDMI cable. W8.1, 780TI, up to date drivers The resolution output is set to the right size, but applications are acting curiously- everything thinks it's double size. Even my cursor is using a massive version (though the giant pointer is a properly upscaled style, not 2x blocky pixels) My screencap program will zoom to double-size of the screen when taking a cap, so this is what you get- [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10572953/requests/heh.jpg[/t] when I'm seeing this- [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10572953/requests/20140326_094416.jpg[/t] content inside chrome (and presumably other stuff) is blurrily upscaled despite the mouse cursor being sharp pixel-for-pixel. The taskbar is the only thing at its proper scale. running a game in fullscreen-windowed causes it to be extremely pixelated as it thinks it's being squeezed down to half res, BUT if I change it to fullscreen 1920x1080 it looks perfect. the hell is doing this

Whats a good media player? I used MPC but then it started to show the wrong time. If I was watching Game of Thrones it'd say I was at 58:45/52:30, skipping back caused it to glitch out. Did it with a lot of other shows too. VLC likes to skip backwards 10 seconds whilst freezing the whole program.
only thing xp is good for is playing lego rock raiders in a vm
You don't need a VM though, i'm pretty sure i'v run it on Win7 or 8 a while back
The 7790 was gone by the time I got to Frys. Got a new Zotac GTX 650 for $70 instead.

http://www.free-codecs.com/download/k_lite_codec_pack.htm I used the standard pack, I can pretty much play anything without fault.

Samsung Kies is a BITCH, it seems I need it in order to update the Android OS, but the damn installer crashes the whole fucking time. Does anyone have alternatives to update Android?
