this is why you torrent stuff
Sadly couldn't find it on any torrent site, it was something really rather specific indeed.
Going to a fairly big IT convention tomorrow. Going to be sweeet.
Last night Chrome updated and it got rid of the "hand" cursor when you hover over links (it just stays the default cursor). I assume this is a bug and it's very annoying, anyone happen to know how to fix it?
OK good, it's not just me. Are you on the dev channel as well?

Lol no, fuck off.
I got my new computer assembled but, for some strange reason, the computer only recognizes 3gb worth of ram, but both ram sticks are 2gb. i dont understand.
I got my new computer assembled but, for some strange reason, the computer only recognizes 3gb worth of ram, but both ram sticks are 2gb. i dont understand.
The operating system needs to be 64 bit to recognise more than 3GB of RAM, you probably have a 32 bit version.

install 64-bit version of the operating system
It's 64bit, i was using 4gb before this. this is my new computer.
Maybe you managed to pickup a 32 bit processor? :v:

I seriously doubt an integrated GPU of some sort would reserve an entire gig for itself. Are you sure the CPU and OS are 64bit? What CPU is it?
yes, i am sure. [editline]28th March 2014[/editline] the ram can't be bad if windows acknowledges that i have 4gb worth installed, right?
yes, i am sure.
I remember having a similar issue. Turned out to be the boot parameters that windows should use 3Gb, not 8. Check msconfig.
Linux has a mechanism called BadRAM that lets you specify memory regions as bad, so you can use memory that's faulty at some addresses. Maybe Windows has a similar mechanism?
some idiot at my school has an intel pentium sticker on the back of his galaxy tab 3
Maybe his name on an Internet forum is pentium
I remember having a similar issue. Turned out to be the boot parameters that windows should use 3Gb, not 8. Check msconfig.
this was it, thanks. for some reason, it was checked "Maximum memory: 0" so I'm surprised it worked at all.
some idiot at my school has an intel pentium sticker on the back of his galaxy tab 3
I used to have like 6 Intel Core i7 Extreme stickers on the back of my Droid.
Now to the topic of overclocking CPU's, which is the main reason I got this one. I've seen that it was really easy to over clock. Overclocking my GPU is as simple as dragging a slider, is there something similar for cpu's?
some idiot at my school has an intel pentium sticker on the back of his galaxy tab 3
All of the computers in my school library were finally all upgraded to windows 7. finally, an operating system and people know how to use at this time of age that isn't over 10 years old. Funny enough I decided to keep the Windows XP stickers just to fuck with people and making them thing XP is installed and not Windows 7 (since some of them don't have stickers). The computers are all Core 2 Duo with 4GB RAM, a much needed upgrade from the previous pentium 3GHz single core 1GB RAM laggy mess. I haven't used the library computers in a long time... Been too busy using them Macs (because they are better).
Sadly couldn't find it on any torrent site, it was something really rather specific indeed.
OK. Now I'm curious. What was it?
