Just replaced my S3's panel assembly with a new one OEM from Samsung. ...Is it just me or did they improve on display panel quality over the years this phone has been produced? The status LCD is all colorful and different and all the colors seem more vibrant, but I can't tell if that's from just lacking any fingerprints whatsoever. [editline]31st March 2014[/editline] Also, it's a darker blue shade than any S3 I've seen, it's almost black.
Could also just be that it's a brand new panel. OLEDs don't age very gracefully.
Could also just be that it's a brand new panel. OLEDs don't age very gracefully.
I guess that's true, I have been using this for the better part of two years. Kinda weird that the frame really looks black-ish and the status LED is a lot more pearlescent compared to the blue S3's I've seen and it's still labeled i747-T999 instead of the black Verizon S3, though. (Thought they had incompatible frames?)
the old screen might have just degraded over time like most samsung phone panels do
Not even limited to Samsung, anything that uses an AMOLED screen WILL degrade over time. It's just the nature of the beast. It's one of the reasons why I doubt I'll ever get a device with an AMOLED screen - burn-in issues and degradation over a relatively short amount of time. I like to hang on to my gadgets as long as possible and keep them in a usable state... A 3 year old Desire HD/Inspire 4G I had still worked fine (even after I left it in my freezer for an hour by accident :v:) when I gave it away to a friend who needed it, and the S-LCD screen is still one of the best screens I've ever had on a smartphone. Battery life sucked shit, though :v:
i haven't seen a better display than the 5s yet
oh god. why did I just buy ESO. I am a terrible person.
i haven't seen a better display than the 5s yet
Better is a subjective term. I honestly think the Moto G's 4.5" IPS-LCD screen is pretty great, but it's a $200 phone and I really don't have any room to complain. Comparing my G to a class mate's 5S, I can hardly see a difference in actual screen quality.
The IPS panels in HTC flagship phones are always the best. I havn't seem much other phones with similar or better screens.
The IPS panels in HTC flagship phones are always the best. I havn't seem much other phones with similar or better screens.
Yeah, HTCs flagships have gorgeous displays, honestly.

Ugh I want this so badly http://www.supermicro.com/products/chassis/2U/826/SC826BA-R1K28LP.cfm [editline]31st March 2014[/editline] or this http://www.supermicro.com/products/chassis/3U/936/SC936E16-R1200.cfm
I now have a server running Ubuntu Server on a old computer with other bits from older computers. Right now it's online and installing a desktop because I can't be assed to use a command line unless explicitly needed.
yo dog i heard you like computers so blah blah blah....
Reminds of those DOS expansion cards you could get for old Macs that had an entire PC on the card. Though, those had a pretty apparent purpose, since you couldn't really emulate x86 back then. Why would you want an entire PC on a add-on card, assuming this is also x86?
yo dog i heard you like computers so blah blah blah....
What is this and where can I buy it?

Generally industrial equipment has the whole machine on a standard form factor board so you just replace the card when you need to upgrade or more often, replace a dead card. Mind you, why you would need that much power for a CNC machine is absolute bullshit.
[t]http://puu.sh/7RtqZ.jpg[/t] god damn i love these sites where you can customize stuff
That makes me feel physically ill to look at. Congratulations. However, you should really buy that and take it to game competitions or some crap that allows custom controllers just so you win by purely distracting your opponent :v:
What is this and where can I buy it?
FYI these won't allow you to plug them into any motherboard you want and expect them to work as seperate computers inside your main computers. These plugs into backplanes, which hosts expansion slots for this card.

Just watched a how it's made segment on solid state drive...

So this year my April Fool's joke is to set my profile to mimic my friend.
Their kpop selection is still small as fuck, I'm not paying for a music service that doesn't have music I want to listen to.
it has nothing to do with All Access, and it has everything to do with the new Steel Panther album that just came out
It's April Fools?
it has nothing to do with All Access, and it has everything to do with the new Steel Panther album that just came out
I'm waiting patiently for Broken Crown Halo myself. I'm going to get it slightly late though because I didn't want to pay twice the price for express shipping
Don't buy anything directly from Corsair, they're terrible.
Quick question here: Is Kingston 120GB HyperX 3K SSD any good? I was only going to buy a new mouse, but then I noticed they're offering it at 69,90€. Could use another SSD since my current one is running out of space.
