Well that's what happens when you skip 2 generations of cards. It was pretty amazing going from a 9600 GT to a 660 Ti. No so much going from a 660 Ti to 780, then to a Titan. I'm thinking about skipping Maxwell and going to Pascal. The only reason I can see to move from a Titan to Maxwell is DX12 features, which I can also ways come back and play with. Pascal looks like it's going to be beastly.
The FD lens is pretty damn sharp.

It's only a good deal if you actually have Canon FD cameras to use it with. Otherwise it's just a useless doorstop. FD lenses with short focal lenses can't be used on any non FD bodies without an optical correcting adapter, because it has the shortest flange focal length. These adapters will also severely degrade your image quality to the point where the images are almost unusable.

Besides, I didn't buy this lens to get ~100%sharp ultra HD~ quality. I got it to have fun. I think fun is a big part of photography.

I use a $30 adapter with mine and it looks perfectly fine :v:

I feel like a reviewer right now.
So i was building a gaming PC in the shop and 20 minutes before it shuts i find that the PSU doesn't have an 8 pin lead, and the handover date is this monday.
So as the new PSU is in the post, i've been given the task to test the GPU in case it is DOA as there's nothing in the shop that can power it.
luckily the PC has the GPU on the i5 so the rest of the machine was imaged and works fine.

So first day programming class (which I've been really expecting to be something more recent than Pascal and not 90% theory) the teacher goes "we'll be using pascal but you guys can use whatever language you know, the code itself doesn't matter too much". O-kay. I did sign up for a Coursera python course, looking forward to that.
