One of the few Free AV suites that you acn use for commercial use legally.
Open up the advanced settings and disable the message center and notification etc. and it largely stays out of the way.

Contacted Virgin media again about my router problems and they're sending out a replacement router free of charge to see if it fixes the problem.
I think if you fiddle with Avast a bit, it'll be the most hushed up AV that'll only pester you if something is indeed going wrong. That or program updates depending on settings.
