Was browsing SH and suddenly this bot posting high res gay porn poppe dup. Of course my sisters were in my room at the time.
oh boy did they react?
iirc, his sisters are young as shit, under 10.
I don't entirely think they saw it. I hit the new post button on the crocodile story, figured I'd show them it, but it flashed on screen and I think I scrolled quick enough. No idea what they thought though. [editline]6th April 2014[/editline]
iirc, his sisters are young as shit, under 10.
7 and 3.
Damn bots are gay
I just cleaned our computers with the new air compressor I bought. It worked really well. When I was cleaning my parents computer I couldn't get under the graphics card, so I decided to take it out. Little did I know there was one of those plastic clips to lock it in place. I've never seen this inside of this computer so I couldn't find the release mechanism, in the end I just pulled it out and snapped the lock. At least nothing else broke. Also their computer had so much dust, I don't even think the blower fan on the graphics card moved because it was full of solid dust.

I should read before clicking links.
Should I or someone make a Raspberry Pi thread? I'd love to see some projects and stuff going on.

It would fit a lot better in H&S.
I went to HBOs website to see when Game of Thrones is airing tonight and I think I just about threw up loading their site... it's all flash. I thought flash websites died years ago... ew.

A paper i wrote detailing some of my GPU programming work got accepted for the Science and Information conference. I'll be presenting at the end of august and my paper will be published in IEEE Xplore. Cannot begin to describe how happy/nervous I am right now.
Goddamn. My dad's a raging alcoholic so he does all this stupid little shit he thinks is hilarious. He bumped into my chair on purpose and I asked him to stop because I didn't think it was funny. He stops and stares at me for a good 10 seconds then says "and you think I get angry when I drink" (I had 2 beers at dinner, and that was well over 3 hours ago, i.e. I was barely tipsy if at all.) I just stare at him back and he goes upstairs, then comes downstairs and says "you're finding your own way to work tomorrow (as if I don't own a car or anything and don't commute by myself 3 days a week), and your desk area better be sparking fucking clean by this time next week." I... just... ugh. Don't become an alcoholic, guys. You become an irredeemable character.
Pepper;44469083']The power up for split second is some dell test thing, if that goes and works then you can rule out PSU. I'd look at the power button and wiring imo. I like those type of PCs, wish we had BTX instead of ATX.
Definitely something up with the power button or related. Unplugging the machine and pressing it it doesn't make the mobo standby light go out, so it must not be getting the signal at all, since I took the front panel I/o out and was pressing the actual switch. Unfortunately in typical dell fashion, they use some proprietary interface over the ribbon cable. Probably fixable though. I had literally zero time to look at it today though. I imagine if I were to short the pins underneath the switch, it should start? [editline]6th April 2014[/editline] Doesn't look like a bad system if I can get it working (after getting some DDR2). Might use this for an Arch system.
No backups?
They were stored in my Google Drive, so I didn't actually lose them -- I uninstalled ButtDefender and allowed my projects to resync still, not going to bother with an AV that has bad false positives that just wipes the supposed files without user option
I don't want to live on this planet any more
By that logic, two of the things might happen. > Video being played as sound. > Video looking like the computer wants to die.

There weren't any conky scripts for Wunderground that seemed to work. So I got an API key and rolled my own instead of troubleshooting the other scripts properly.

Why the fuck does it have a QR code :v: Unless it's some kind of unique ID, in which case that's pretty neat [editline]7th April 2014[/editline] That one just links to the website :v:
feels like more and more storage space is pretty redudant since the disk failures might get bigger, and because you can store more data on it just means trouble
