I'm trying out this webcam tracking thing and it's tricky, I need 60fps on my C910 which I can do on 640x480, but I'm only getting 30fps in any program for some reason. I thought it was perhaps be using it on a hub on my monitor but I moved it to the back of my computer directly and no difference.
I don't know what to do.
lol that's not true at all, especially when it comes to electronics that isn't designed and manufactured locally.
well damn the ssd prices have been going down fast
now it's about $50 cheaper over there
cameras are usually cheap i've seen

I'm nto sure about the prices in Sweden but prices in Japan for computer components are certainly a lot more expensive than the States.

That's expected, since most of the consumer cameras are designed and manufactured in Japan.

I stabbed my finger with an xacto knife two weeks ago, it still isn't healed since it was at a weird angle so the cut keeps reopening.

well an evo basic 250gb is around $200 here so there's a difference i guess
and what's also nice is that i don't have to pay tax (or just very little of it)

i'm kinda worried the same will happen to this one, considering it's on the inside of my finger's knuckle and that seems like a good way to have it keep reopening.
my left index finger is permanently swollen from scar tissue when I cut it open so bad that I severed the tendon :pwn:
why did you do that

I didn't say I believed it, I know how BB basically kills drives for profit at this point, but it's interesting.

Same here, My NAS drives are both Seagate ST31000528AS with 24,600+ hours on them and they still chug along.
At work is a different story, I've pretty much replaced the HDD in every computer that was specified with a Seagate drive due to failure. And it's not like they've been thrashed, just simple office doings. That's not to say they've been the only failures, WD definitely comes next in this respect.

I've been well fucked by both Seagate and WD so I don't really have one. I guess my SanDisk SSD has been pretty flawless.
Personally, I usually run with the WD/Intel or WD/Sandisk combo of a data drive and a cache drive. (Depending on SRT support)
Sure, I could spend the extra $100 on a 256GB boot drive, but cache drives work just fine and involve a lot less fiddling around. It's like a decent chunks of the benefits of an SSD for $40 without losing out on capacity, because most people have a limited set of most used programs and it adapts to them.
I gone and done fucked up the ability to install a desktop on my server.
Installing desktops are hard.
I've not had a single hitachi drive fail on me.
Plenty of seagate and WD's though, a couple of times spectacularly.
I think I'm still using a drive that has failed once due to a software malfunction.

Only if you're on 1.0.1.
I've had my Seagate external hard drive not power up (it's the huge 3.5 inch one that requires a power supply via AC power outlet) a few times on the past. Not sure if it's simply just the enclosure that is causing the issue here.

You could just move her over to Windows 7, or 8, or 8.1 - implying anyone here has ever personally paid for a Windows license, only reason I have a legit Windows installation is because of Dreamspark or whatever the name of that program was, and I know some other people even if I didn't have access to that.
I beg your pardon. Every single copy of Windows that I have installed at work or home has been a legitimately paid for copy.

You should have updated to 1.0.1 ages ago because TLS 1.1 and 1.2 became available in 1.0.1, and TLS 1.2 protects against BEAST attacks.
Unless you're saying you're using 1.0.2, in which case there's a chance you're slightly mad, but I appreciate the fact that you're beta-testing future versions.

I'm not using any version, I just read the site.

Thanks, just checked and all the company servers I have access to (including the financial processing product) are vulnerable. I don't have sufficient access to update them, though. I also sent out a company-wide email telling everyone to check all the other servers, because we indirectly manage a hundred or so and I only have logins for a handful.
