cause water only damages computers not the foundation of a house or anything
Didn't look like it's flooding or anything, he just wants to prevent the sump pit from overflowing.
on top looks cooler
It's significantly more complicated though. I first need to find a way to have the monitors at the right levelbut then also be able to place the speakers. The speakers on bottom ends up being easier since I can JUST get some monitor arms to position them and then just tilt the speakers. I can go with the speakers on bottom first and then figure it out later. Amazon has them for about 140 new each, or about 115 used. But it mentions scratches directly from Amazon Warehouse, but I don't know if the scratches are on the packages or the item.
I made two mockups of my future monitor layout with the speakers. I think the speakers on the bottom monitors on the top is probably my best bet. Speakers ontop is better, soundwise. http://puu.sh/87KQH.png http://puu.sh/87KTv.png
Speakers on top if it's better soundwise, screw the looks. You have separate speakers because you want good audio, I presume, so don't compromise on location. Also, I fell asleep last night during the live broadcast of a video podcast, and I had the window open just a bit to get the air moving until I went to bed, except I fell asleep before that. Woke up to a laptop with VLC idling, 3/4ths of a pizza and the stiffest back known to mankind. But damn I feel good for some reason. 8/10 would recommend
Didn't look like it's flooding or anything, he just wants to prevent the sump pit from overflowing.
My computer and everything is raised off the floor a few inches, so that's fine. Though if the sump pit overflows, then that would mean moving absolutely everything out of the basement, mopping up the mess and ruining everyone's night. I have exams to study for in this basement, so I don't want to move.
I think I'm going to go with the Used - Very Good models from Amazon's Warehouse thingy. [editline]13th April 2014[/editline] Also think I'll use something like this for the monitors: http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_id=109&cp_id=10828&cs_id=1082808&p_id=5402&seq=1&format=2 Thoughts?

I use a galant. I've stood on it before, it's pretty stable. I don't need a super articulating arm, just something with height and depth. And for now I'll have the monitors lined up on each side at the top and the speakers underneath. In the future if I can figure something out I'll move the speakers above. I'm pretty excited, I've wanted multiple monitors for such a long time, and getting two monitors with monitor arms for like 300 is pretty awesome. Also these monitors are .2480mm pixel depth and my main monitor is .2505mm I figured that was close enough. I looked at these monitors for months and months and which is why I've bookmarked this one for a long time.

It's 2014, why isn't the laptop market full of qtπ 9"-10.1" netbooks with 8-core big.LITTLE ARM CPUs with 12 hours of battery life?
Just ordered new network equipment. A couple of switches and a new router. Can't wait to replace the backdoored router from my ISP. Funny thing. It actually is backdoored. The router does not have a webinterface. you configure it, by going to the isp Website, and from there you can "configure" it. And by configure it, I mean the only fucking thing you can change is the WIFI password. thats it. And the WIFI password is stored in plain text on their side. nope nope
Google services keep going up and down constantly for me, what the hell And I just got confirmation from a dude in Colorado that he has the same problems so it's not regional, and it's not the guy's brain going into full sympathy-mode and making him imagine the problems, I left out one problem intentionally and he reported that not working for him either.

lol Aprentice bought 32gb of ram for a server, and they are incompatible. I asked him: "Did you check the Compatible ram table of the mainboard manual?" and he replied with "Sure, they should work". Asked him again with "Is the type of RAM listed in the Compatible ram table of the mainboard manual??" to which he replied with "No". Well, thats 300$ down the drain. Aparently the manual of the mainboard states that there is only one working combination of RAM to get 32GB RAM on the mainboard, and that type of RAM is not sold anywhere in my country. Great...
What kind is it?
As far as I can tell, (I never saw the machine itself, I only RDP into it, so I see what dxdiag tells me), It's a PowerEdge T310.
Crucial claims this. Apparently it's $230 for 16GB.
We need 32gb.
I'd forgotten to allow discard commands in my disc config on my laptop. Just set it up correctly and ran a manual TRIM - it trimmed 12GB. On a 120GB drive.
Why must DDR2 RAM be basically gone, aside from the ECC buffered stuff?

The next generation of smartphones, tablets and laptops need to focus on battery life.
I can source you some. What do you need. All from Ebay.
I dunno, 8 GB in any configuration.
I dunno, 8 GB in any configuration.
32x256MB DDR2 coming right up.
I had two of those monitors in my cart last night. Amazon Used/VeryGood Condition for like 113 or 114 or something, and went to check when I woke up and both got sold, now the cheapest amazon ones are 124. Thats 20 extra bucks that cuts into my mount difference. Or I can go with the third party used for the equivilent 110/114 and not be sure when it will ship... Edit: Those other two end up being like 5 dollars less in the end due to shipping and tax, so I'll go amazon, fuck.
I'd like to dedicate this post to how shitty Vegas is Like your ability to just randomly shit out whenever I load a .gif Or how you can have any 120FPS projects but not actually render anything past 100 Or how keyframes are tied to time, and not frames, and clicking a keyframe that doesn't actually line up with a frame resets the timeline, losing my place And how you can completely destroy the quality of an image when scaling DOWN Also how you continuously remove features in later versions, even replacing the normal render window with a list of fucking presets, which you have to edit to change any settings
absolutely hate the preset list with passion. don't think I've ever used one of the presets
