Ok I'll go.
Some of you might find this interesting. Compare this with the excruciating "Multimedia" applications we had 10 years later in the mid 90's. I think this is incredible.
There's even a system remarkably similar to google maps (Searchable, and complete with street view).

Granted, the system cost £5000, but this is 1985.
As a Bonus, the BBC has made the data from the project available online (but not in its original presentation, you need an emulator for that).
Damn, how much data did that take up?
What the shit is going on?
I can HEAR my internet.
Every time I load a page in chrome my headphones start buzzing and when the page finishes loading they stop.
This is so weird.
holy shit I don't know how it's possible to make a game so buggy that it stutters and drops frames as much as bf4 does
I bought the digital deluxe edition and requested a refund the same hour. The game was horribly unoptimized.
Ok, does somebody know why I have increased battery usage on my GT-I9001 (running Cyanogenmod 11) for like 4 hours after shutting down my phone? On a battery charge without OS shutdowns, idle usage is really low, but when it has been shut down and rebooted it'll drain 40% in like 4 hours.
This is problem because my school demands me to shut down my phone and give it to them so they can smash it in a drawer and scratch up my digitizer even more, and this is something that happens EVERY school day.

Carry your phone up your ass and pretend you didn't bring it.

I got it on sale for $30. Got my 50 hours out of it and had my fun. I haven't played it since last year.

when they pulled this shit when I went to school I always pretended I never had it on me, no way they would get their hands on my phone. not really a fix, but should do if the issue is only present when shutting it off?

I think you right, but I'm gonna try to convince the principal that shutting down your phone is a fucking waste. Maybe I can convince him by showing a screenshot of a battery cycle with shutdown, and a shot without. The difference is really dramatically.
I mean, look at my poor battery

This is just fucking ridiculous, over the weekend my battery can last over two days, but when they are being so manipulative, only a day and 12 hours.

I'm also guessing you have an AMD GPU?
Working out how to fit an aftermarket radio in my car and still have all the steering wheel controls to work is quite possibly the hardest thing I've had to do in my adult life technology wise.
I mean it needs 101 different wiring harnesses that are specific to the model and year of the car, the manufacturer of the stereo, etc.

Runs just fine on my hd 7950 when i still had it.
Runs even better on my 780 Ti
Runs pretty much the same on my R9 290.

make sure you make a nicely worded powerpoint about it.

I heard BF4 had terrible performance issues with AMD cards for a while after launch. I have quad sli 590 and I don't have any performance issues with BF4 at all, except for the annoying gameplay bugs that people has been complainin about.

apparently this is a thing (google drive's second anniversary is on the 24th so maybe more people will get by then) (not my pic though)

If I get 1TB Google Drive storage, I'd actually use it to store shit.

It would take me approx. 94.9167 days to upload 1TB on my connection.
Why did I install the 8.1 update again? The only big feature was adding the start menu button back, and that actually fucked things up for me because I already had both the start menu and start button added via Classic Shell, so I had to reinstall and reconfigure that just to get everything back to working the way it was before.
I guess the Metro app improvements might be worth it, if I can find any that are actually better than the desktop versions.
Next Car Game is 30% off, is it worth the $20?

Classic Shell was prepared for the update you fool.
You would've had to search up Classic Shell to return the start button.

I must have had a pre-8.1 install, then, because it was weirdly broken when I first updated. Both start buttons were overlaid on top of each other, and which one activated on clicking it seemed random.
I fixed it with a Classic Shell update, but it lost all my carefully-crafted settings.
Spent another friday night trying to figure out why OBS is a fucking laggy mess. Oh well.
Damn, how much data did that take up?
The text and programs comprised about 500mb. The audio, video and images were stored uncompressed in a non digital format (In fact so was all the digital stuff, its encoded on spare audio tracks on the laserdisc)
The system first reads off the software, then this controls which parts of the video or images to read into the frame buffer, then the interface is overlaid.

How funny, my parents won one at a social raffle not too long ago (one to two weeks ago IIRC).
I never saw the point in a tablet till I got one, now I use it all the time. The universal remote and tv guide is pretty sweet too.
Next Car Game is 30% off, is it worth the $20?
It has potential and is nifty to play around with, though it's not worth $20 at the moment.

Watching shit on the go on a bigger screen than your phone when you don't have your laptop.

I had a tablet and still couldn't understand the point myself, though.
I much prefer a 12" SSD-equipped lappy because you can, like, actually type on one and you don't actually have to adjust to a different usage environment from your other computers.
