Swefox apparently did have a change of heart and he has paid me back half of what he owed me. He was going to pay me back the remaining but his Paypal account got limited for sending too much money to others that he owed. Regardless, he apologized about everything and hopes to resolve the problem with everyone and seek forgiveness, like what he wrote with the account "only4u" before the post was removed. I have also removed the chat snippet from earlier because due to poor choices of word and miscommunication, it made him seem hostile when all he was trying to do was to resolve the money owed by him. After talking to him, he definitely seems to be a lot more sincere now and is taking responsibility in what he did wrong. I know most of you probably don't care at this point, but I just feel like the need to clarify the situation on his end.
The main problem is, that the whole incident shouldn't exist to begin with. It's good for him to realize his mistakes and tries to reduce the problems he caused in the first place. He broke the trust people had in him, and when you break a Gentleman's Agreement, it will be pretty hard to clear your name. It's the worst thing to do. I hope he manages to get forgiveness from everyone that was directly involved in the incident.
Why not get his Steam account closed? Seriously - he used Steam to scam people, I'm pretty damn sure that that's against their ToS.
That was tried in the first place.
So I mounted my monitor on the wall today, and it's literally like two inches too high, just out of the comfortable level :(
Live you generic phone! LIVE DAMMIT!

Alternatively, stick some textbooks you no longer care about under your desk and chair legs.
Shit will hopefully be defucked in 8 Minutes. [editline]20th April 2014[/editline] It worked! And this shit phone has FM Radio. Yes~.
Its been over a month since I ordered a mouse through corsair, my order is still processing and support still hasnt responded to an open ticket or my forum post. I just got a phone though so I'll call them on my next day off.
It worked! And this shit phone has FM Radio. Yes~.
It seems like most low end android phones have FM radio, but newer middle to high end phones don't. Maybe the manufacturers assume that people who can afford their phones don't need FM radio because they'd also be able to afford 3/4G

I'd rather have a phone with DAB capability than FM functionality. Some stuff I want to listen to is outside that band and DAB has it with the same channels available on FM and doesn't sound like complete shit.
Some phones require you to plug in headphones to get fm radio
Some phones require you to plug in headphones to get fm radio
Doesn't change the fact that the lower end ones get FM Radio and the high end don't. Besides, you gotta be a dick to hide the function if headphones aren't plugged in.
My Sony potato (a very low end phone) didn't come with fm radio so it required the headphone jack. Also the feature is probably hidden because there isn't headphones plugged in.
Besides, you gotta be a dick to hide the function if headphones aren't plugged in.
The headphone wire is being used as a wire - nothing to do with dickishness. At least that's what I recall being the reason when I looked it up.
Some phones require you to plug in headphones to get fm radio
Oh yeah, on my stock Gingerbread OS I also had FM radio, and that application required me to plug in earphones as well. I've read something about that it uses your listening device as a antenna. I wonder HOW exactly that shit gets pulled off.

How can you both output an analog signal through the headphones while also using them as an antenna for radio? Doesn't one interfere with the other? [editline]20th April 2014[/editline] I mean I guess the headphones that have a mic/volume controls could use the 3rd input line as an antenna
dunno, I stuck a nail in the 3.5mm port and listened happily away.

It's not just using the headphone wire as antenna, you also need the hardware on the phone itself
I was thinking it sends the radio audio to the device through the mic line but that wouldn't make sense if any headphones can work.
so my g2's on 4.4.2 now, with twrp recovery all set up. I just need to find a rom that's actually stable on this phone and then I'll flash it. I really really want to use AOKP because its management of vibrations and leds is really awesome looking, but I've heard that it's both unstable on the g2 and a little lacking in features compared to other phones when running it.
Why can't it simply use the same connection? The signal levels for audio are too low for FM and can be filtered out on the signal input anyways.

[editline]20th April 2014[/editline] I mean I guess the headphones that have a mic/volume controls could use the 3rd input line as an antenna
Antennas pick up electromagnetic frequencies (ie, radio waves). Its simply because headphones are a length of wire, and all lengths of wire pick up EMF of some sort (this is why sheilding is important). It has absolutely nothing to do with current in the wire as you can use household AC lines as well. There's probably a lot more to it than that. I'm no radio engineer. But essentially, electromagnetic radiation =/= electrical current.
