The reason to why Chrome does this separate process thing is to ensure that if one tab is going nuts, it doesn't affect everything else.

If the flash plugin fucks up in firefox for me it just ask me if i want to stop the plugin, works for me.
Firefox has a separate "plugin-container" process.
Which is just fine as it's pretty much only Flash that throws a fit anyway.
chrome gave me the aw snap thing pretty often when i tried it
buuut.. if there's no alternative to australis when it hits i'm gonna switch back

There is an alternative to Australis, its Called Waterfox or Palemoon.
Waterfox said they gonna keep the old UI and not use Australis.
