I'm so going to work on this.
Took me about 5 minutes to get a test version running.
. But good thing is that Steam is being smart by taking note of the URL and warning the user that the site might be forgery.
That'd be nice if they didn't do it for EVERY URL :v:

It's great when your ISP has constant issues with steam community routes, too. It means your links are just straight broken. I've just taken to copy pasting every link.

I'm not referring to the dialog box. I'm referring to if you browse to the link. Apparently I'm assuming if the URL attempts to use 'Steam' and 'Free' in the name, it'll first link you to this page note to not give any Steam related information.
I was offered a 30 (or something very close to that) credit internship at my cousin-in-law's software development company in New York. Pretty excite, although it will be another 2 years before I can do it.

gonna need some help with some proxy and torrenting. peer2peer is blocked at my place, and I'm trying to get Lost Alpha for Stalker installed. decided to run uTorrent through my VPS using putty to open proxy to my server, yet it won't download and connect properly for whatever reason. if I wait for a good amount, it will eventually start pulling stuff but would be cool if I didn't have to wait forever until it finally lets go.

there was never any popcorn here bytheway
it pulls out half a KB before it gives up. I see that it also connects to a local IP in the house which doesn't belong to me.
[editline]fake editline[/editline]
setting the port to random seems to help, but I see there are a looot of seeders it never connects to or only pulls some bytes from. hmmmm
Are you still having problems with this? I know a couple of people who had problems getting the LA stuff because the download sites are garbage. I just downloaded them directly to my VPS.
I still have them up if you need a link.

it eventually got through, thanks anyway!
I'm having the weirdest bug right now. My start button doesn't work but the windows key works. Also, the cursor won't go between screens if the cursor is going to slow. I need to get a running start with the cursor and it will finally jump across to the other screen.
Now with video:

'email password'
god damn
Speaking if weird windows issues, sometimes my sound card triggers a constant 'volume up' command, and it's acting like I'm pressing and holding a volume up key forever. It royally fucks up explorer. I can't open the start menu, switch programs if a program has multiple windows, etc. I just have to disconnect and connect my sound card and it's fixed.
my volume goes all the way up whenever i start playing an album in banshee
scares the shit out of me
then i just leave it up because w/e

I control the volume with a knob on my mixer, who even needs software volume control?
Also, I think my laptop is grateful I gave it 10GB ram:

Yes I probably would, loads of cases on the internet of peoples N64 thumb stick wearing out and becoming unusable. I am one of those people. This seems to imply you need to solder it though as opposed to it being a simple swap job.
Anyway, I now own too many RJ45 connectors, 100 as a matter of fact. Probably going to last me forever.

All of the N64's that were at McDonalds suffered from erectile dysfunction

Also, a PSA from me: Cheap china controllers don't last long before the analog sticks need Viagra.

Hell yeah! Not for an N64 but because I'd love a joystick for a project I've got on the back burne and that form factor is pretty close to what I need.

Your Mcdonalds' had N64s?
We just had a ballpit without any balls because kids kept pissing in it

One where I use to live had N64s and then when the Wii came out they got GameCubes and some other one got PS2s.

i've replaced n64 joysticks in the past but the price is what worries me, i usually buy them for $15
i bought one, let's see if it breaks when i touch it

Even Nintendo's official controllers were pieces of garbage for the N64.
There's a store in town that sells replacement analog sticks for N64 controllers. He seems to make a lot of business.

Some of the McDonald's I go to seem to still have those N64s. But I never see anyone play on them, it's like a graveyard in there. It's just a slide right next to them too. I guess those kids are too busy playing with their ipads.
I'm still sure the Rust support is still CIPWTTKT-content considering people are thinking that gaming laptops are better than desktops.

I'm probably overthinking it, but a "gaming laptop" with an 860M is probably faster in games than most desktops in existence, I mean your PC-World esque jobbies that have a GT640 or something.
I never had a Laptop with a good enough GPU to play games (Unless it's flash games and GBA Emulators)
:(
Collecting data on how our network is crappy. Our app pings servers every 15 minutes, and it pings each server twice. Already getting a flood of emails with "THE SERVER(S) ARE DOWN"

The only modern 3D game this computer can run is Minecraft. The GPU (GMA 950) was pretty mediocre when it was new. Even a lot of 2D indie games are too overwhelming. It hasn't gotten any better these 8 years.
I was a bit impressed that the laptop could pull off Minecraft and an HD video playing on another monitor though. That's pretty impressive considering it doesn't have H.264 HW acceleration and it only has a 2 Ghz Core 2 Duo.
speaking of crap gpus, I got this GeForce 210 than can only really play cs source at native resolution
