I would return it, but I bought it from Best Buy back in February, and their return/exchange policy is 14 days. So now I'm stuck with dealing with Asus, and my extent of their support previously has been "well I dunno, not a problem as far as I can tell."
Your country is weird. In norway we have 3 years of warranty standard.
For example my gpu broke hd 7950 send it back get a 280x matrix.
Or power supply AX 850 3 times in a row get back a AX 860.
Seem like Every country outside Europe is hostile to Consumers.

Don't think Facepunch exposes timestamps anywhere though, lame.
I slept through it, just like I sleep through everything important in life.
Here it's 2 years of warranty as a minimum on all tech devices.
The warranty in my area is always "It's been expired since the day before it broke"
waterfox was almost peaking at 5gb, i think it's time to restart

why do web browsers suck so much :(
Picking up a MBA with a ded screen for $240
Hopefully will be able to revive it and have a $300 MBA
I have had literally no problem with any Asus product ever that I didn't cause myself. Maybe I just got lucky, but they're my new favorite Windows company because my Y500 is not in fantastic shape despite it hardly ever going anywhere. It just sits on my couch turned off until I get home and play games for a few hours then I turn it off again.

not that odd when you've been browsing sites with images / google maps / whatnot
i have 16gb of ram, i don't really mind if it's being used

well, it's still quite abnormal to use half a gig of ram on a web-based im client

You can sort of check it through the ticker, it doesn't go back as far as needed though:

last result is 1400009821

Ah here we go: http://lab.facepunch.com/api/post/list/?threadid=1266490&fmt=json&page=1522
nikomo posted at 1399999998 and kaukassus at 1400000045 according to FP
so neither of you got it, try again at 1500000000
I clicked post at 1399999999, I blame clock drift on the server.
And I blame my lazy ass for not posting earlier.
I've had an Asus motherboard in my system since I got it two years ago. Had an Asus GTX 760 since October and is holding up fine. Did consider an Asus monitor but got a small Samsung HDTV instead. I get the feeling I would of looked like a quite a fanboy had I got it.
i don't blame you, asus monitors look kind of gaudy with the weird stand and glossy finish on most models

Yeah this is true. They're usually the cheapest name-brand 1080p monitors on NewEgg so we have a lot of them, and I don't care for their styling.
I like the Dell S series

shame they're only 1080p
oh thats pretty looking

I got that around an hour ago. Was almost done switching to the Bitfenix case, just had to plug the power button and so in to actually make it start. And nothing is happening. I see the power LED light up, but nothing is happening. I just kept imagining that i had broken the PC during the move. Until i found out that the two identical, non marked, closely put cables had been switched around. The power LED was getting the power that was supposed to go to the button instead
Fun thing was, i had marked the cables using post it notes since they were identical, i had just marked the wrong one
Anyway, it got done. Cablemanagement is horrible, but the case looks really nice. And i actually have a case fan now yay
the transformer for my desk lamps makes sounds what remind me of dial-up.
it is scary.

Glossy finish wouldn't of been bad for me, would of stay well away from where anything can reflect off it. Thing that killed it for me was the fact that it would probably be further down the line until I get a HDTV had I got the monitor. I already felt late as it was joining the party and I was worried if I waited any longer that yes they would probably get even cheaper but that the components quality would slide along with the price.
idk if this posted

Next time you should of bought an HP LaserJet.
Anyone have a good set of dialog icons I can use?
Because I don't like how Pidgin uses these faces for some of the dialogs.
Google Hangouts is going on
Looks more like some kind of UI glitch to me, which would be OS X's fault
