Yeah, I have a bunch of shit laying around I don't use. But I want to sell if I can or at least give it away. I don't want to throw it out unless it's not even worth giving away.

how the fuck. I can still count all the phones I've had in my life on two hands. (I've had phones ever since I was 8, and I'm 18 now)
[editline]20th May 2014[/editline]
First phone I ever had was this. The nostalgia from just looking at the picture of it makes me fell old. I remember how it actually had a browser on it and I could view webpages optimized for the WAP protocol showing weather, TV guide etc. Could last almost two weeks with normal use. I've had 4 phones in my life.
A samsung brick phone, Sony Ericson, HTC Sensation, and my current Galaxy S4.
I just had to stop and think of my age for a moment, that's a little worrying. :v:
I still feel giddy when I realize that I am no longer lying when visiting 18+ sites.

I use mine until they break. I only switched from my first phone (Motorola clamshell thing) once you could not call people and half the buttons were stuck. After that it was a Sony Ericsson P910 (baller) until those keys broke. I switched from the next phone to my S3 pretty fast though, mainly because i got a really good discount, and that phone sucked
Like, how do you go through that many phones in such a short time. My sister didn't even do that and she was the kind of person that left a phone on a slippery rock in the middle of a lake
Yeah that's why I've only had 5 phones on 10 years and my current one since Christmas 2009. If it still works, I'll still use it.
By my count, and I know I'm not accurate here, deeps did that in about 4 months. He trades phones so goddamn much.
Wow. Does he do it because he hates them, or does he just do it because he can?

He trades them. Doesn't usually buy new. I've gone through:
Old monochrome Nokia, cannot remember model number
Some LG Flip phone.
Authentic Dolce & Gabbana Gold Razr V3i (Still have it.)
BlackBerry 8800 (I miss this so much)
Nokia N80 (Love and hate this thing)
Nokia E71 (I also miss this thing.)
Then I borrowed my dads spare Galaxy S for about 2 weeks until I got my...
Nexus S. (I fucking hate this piece of shit so much.)
And then finally my Lumia 1020. The only thing that's replacing this thing is another Lumia.
and, if I remember correctly that's since 2005. I'd say I've done alright.

Two reasons, he recently had a job doing mobile phone support for AT&T, I believe, so the more experience with everything, the better. And I think the other is it's just kinda fun. I'd love the chance to try a new phone a month but I just couldn't give up my Lumia.
In my whole life I've had 2 working cell phones. A Samsung Solstice and my current iPhone 4S. As long as its not sluggish to use, in going to keep using my 4s until it catastrophically breaks.
(6th grade) Shitty flip phone
(9th grade) Lg EnV2
(December) LG Optimus L9 (shitty and stuck on 4.1.2)
I remember having some old Nokia, with a colour screen and a silver/orange skin, then I got a Samsung SGH-D500, then a Sony Ericsson C902 (the James Bond one), then a HTC Wildfire S, then an iPhone 3GS, and now my HTC One M7.
The best phone I ever had was the W660. I'll never forget the sad day that the graphics started acting up, ultimately making the screen blank forever :C
I want to get another one some day.
I've been through:
Some LG flip phone
Samsung Intensity
Galaxy Nexus
Nexus 5
All of them are still functional.
Phones I've owned in my lifetime (sorted by brand because I can't remember this fucking order):
Apple iPhone 3G
Blackberry Storm
Motorola XT502
Motorola RAZR (in pink, of course)
Motoroka ROKR E1
Nokia 3310
Nokia 6300
Nokia 6600
Nokia N-Gage
O2 XDA II
Samsung Galaxy Note N-7000 (current phone)
There's probably others, but oh well. Most of these were hand-me-downs.

I almost forgot how I got this phone a month or two back.
I traded some shitty PA speakers I bought 3 years ago for this GT-I9001.
This phone is awesome, runs PA 4.4.2 very smoothly, I've never experienced graphical slowdowns or having a action delay, I'm surprised considering this phone is three years old.
Considering I got this phone for pretty much free, I only needed a new battery to have it at least working. Later on after I personalized it I decided to restore it, only 45 euros for a new frame, digitizer, display and lower circuitry. (Touchkey circuitry and the antenna)

I looked up the article that's from. The person had two differently mastered versions of the same song (an older version of Pink Floyd's Money in 128kbps and the newer remastered version in 256kbps) and used that as the basis for comparing the perceived fidelity of different bitrates.
This person needs to learn to science properly.
Yeah, I was looking up if there were any optimal iTunes playback settings or something. Which, iTunes has a mistake in it too that's been there for a long time now, where they mix up bitrate and sample rate.
I've had 5 phones in my life.
Motorola Razr back when they were all the rage
Some stupid Motorola slide out dumbphone I don't remember the name of
HTC Aria (x2) because I lost the first one, went back to the slidy dumbphone for a while and got another
And the HTC One X I am typing this post on right now which I'm going to keep using until it can't even boot anymore.
I've still remember the models of all mine
Nokia 3200, the case was clear and had customisable inserts. Came with 3 or 4 lenticular 3D sets

Also not happy about that 5V-rail voltage.
Moto RAZR
Blackberry Curve
Galaxy S2 Skyrocket
LG G2
You know a programming assignment is due tonight when people are messaging me with "How do I use regex"
If it's an actual regex assignment, where the entire damn thing is about regex, you walk away and don't look at explosions.
If it's just a small part, link them to Google.

Regex.
Not even once.
I wrote a regular expression once.
2 hours of Google, 2 hours of testing.

We have to write something that loads a website and scrapes data from it using regex, then displays it in a tkinter window
Basically an RSS reader
I wrote a regular expression once.

I couldn't find my favorite/they might have redesigned, but basically this:
http://regex101.com/
I admire the people who can actually write a regular expression from memory because fuck that shit. If I need to write a regex, I google what I need done
there's not a lot of things to remember for regular expressions
I admire the people who can actually write a regular expression from memory because fuck that shit. If I need to write a regex, I google what I need done
It's really not that hard to get the basic stuff down
[a-z] is any lowercase letter, [A-Z] is upper, [A-z] is any letter, [0-9] is a number, . means anything
* after something means 1 or more, + is 0 or more, () are subexpressions, meaning they only return whatever's inside the brackets
That's pretty much all I remember and I can write a working expression for most things with it
Yeah but see there's like this shit I wrote a long time ago
//Not Equals
c.Filter.CustomFilterValue = "^(?!" + CustomFilterTextBox.Text + "$).*$";
How the hell am I expected to read "^(?!penis$).*$" and know that it evaluates to effectively "match everything that is not 'penis'?"
It does a good job, y'know, matching, but it's the most unreadable thing ever.
[editline]20th May 2014[/editline]
Although we're not using Regex for anything advanced. Just equals/not equals, contains/does not contain, begins with/ends with. So I guess it don't matter too much.
