I had a shitty posture though, I think I could have done maybe a little better.
Also, I like the start of the filename.
What always bugs me about those typing tests is the ones that just use random words
I do a lot better if I'm actually typing a sentence, I'm never going to type "sometimes dog my word apple while school five fucking raccoons cloud rusty feet", so it doesn't exactly measure your practical typing speed

Or the ones that just freeze and not enter a letter if you get the wrong one, it throws you off when shit suddenly stops working

Depends on how much 50% off is
Honestly I'm pretty cheap so I'd probably rather put together a freenas box or sometihng

~60€
i don't have space for another chassi, and it's too loud
also i'd need to get parts for it which gets expensive quick

an even more baffling question would be; wd red or green?
Oh. That would do it.
Had a mac that was crashing and shitting itself randomly. NO idea at all why it was so unstable.
Ran a ram test and noticed that one of the sticks declared itself as -992mb. Gee, I wonder if that stick is bad.

You've never used a negative RAM stick before? They're very useful.
You've never used a negative RAM stick before? They're very useful.
Yes.
When your computer is a fucking black hole.
If you have too much ram they're useful to reduce it a bit so your computer doesn't take off.
Reminds me of that game Stranded 2
Butterflies weighed -1 units, so if you caught 100, it'd reduce the weight of your entire backpack by 100 units :v:

yeah when typing actual sentences, everyone can type faster than that.
I usually just lurk here but I got an email from a post in the EVGA forums when I had problems with my GTX460 a year ago.
The problem was that the thermal paste between the heat spreader and the gpu chip lost its ability to spread the heat, the solution would be to remove the heat spreaded and reapply some thermal paste. (or just RMA how I fixed it)
http://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2167047
so i have decided to go with jackexplode's method 10 mins ago & after little work & Patience the IHS (the metal cover) have came off :)
after cleaning IHS & the GPU from the old paste, i have put it back without applying any thermal paste between them , but i applied very very little thermal paste on top after, because i run off paste (stupid me i know)
problem is : i turned on the PC & the Desktop appeared then VOOOOM the Fan hit 100% & PC turned off !
i tried to turn it on again to check Temps but the same thing happened over & over, desktop , fan goes Vooom then PC shuts down !
what is the problem ? is it that i didn't apply thermal paste between IHS & the GPU ?or the Card is dead ?

Learn a proper typing technique if you don't already.
It's just like learning a musical instrument, speed comes with correct technique.
i never learned to touch type as a kid and I can do around 110WPM on most of those fancy typing sites :v
i just set my fingers on wasd and go from there

people care far too much about their mice and how 'accurate' their sensors are. even though some sensors are slightly better than others, i bet a lot of these people are experiencing some kind of placebo effect

Mice? Placebo?
I just bought a new mouse, and not only did the other sensor have some issues during certain movements. I have a much smoother mouse as well because the polling rate is higher. You also need to account for how the buttons work.
Also, this is Steelseries Rival, so it does not have the same mouse acceleration feeling either.
Optical and Laser sensors also make a big deal, for example this mouse does not even detect the table's surface (white, paint layer whatever) and thus I can only use my mousepad.
You might have to play more FPS games before you understand what is going on. Because if you don't play FPS's, then I would mostly say the buttons really matter.

What's the cheapest way of getting data off of floppy disks?
I have a family tree file that I need to get off this old 95-6 Epson laptop but I dunno how aside from some floppies lying around.
[editline]23rd May 2014[/editline]
Or just an old computer in general, since this thing doesn't seem to like the floppies I put in it and spits out a "device not ready" error.

Blame my crashing router for that one, can't take the strain me and my family put on it.
Anyway, my S3 screen got a crack on it for the first time in two years. Fuck knows how but thankfully its only minor.

i've played counter-strike and osu! (mouse is very important there) and i haven't experienced mouse firmware acceleration being that much of a hindrance. software acceleration is another matter, though
Huh, I found a note addressed to myself on this computer from when I was nine to back up the photos on this thing. I guess I'm finally getting around to it a decade later.

UnrealIRCd is still weird to me.

I fucking hate these leaks, I have a legit prepurchase at GMG for Watch_Dogs, but it's coming out on the 27th.
Why do I have to wait 3 days as the legit customer?

You don't.
In my moral if you paid for it, "piracy" of a product, esp. if it's leaked is perfectly acceptable.
I am unsure if i should buy it , i looked at the gameplay and it looks fun i am not really hyped for it.
One thing that bothers me for example is the PC tech demo they had, because that graphicly detail should be easy to run on pc, just look at crysis 3 on ultra so many details in the faces for example.
And then there is Wolfenstein which tbh to me just looks like any other shoother with not anything new. The only wolfenstein i played was the one from 2009 i think? and the multiplayer Enemy Territority.

Yeah, except now when the game actually launches, I have a cracked uPlay client because that's requires for the leaked version to run, so I have to reinstall that, and then I have to worry about getting the game save over to the retail version.
Think I might pass, sounds like a hassle.

you don't need to crack uplay to play the leaked version though
What the fuck Chrome.
The password manager doesn't take subdomains into account. So it assumes a password used on blah.somesite.com is going to be the same as one used on somesite.com. Has anyone else run into this?
