after finding out I couldn't downsize my VPS from a 40$ plan to a 20$ plan, I contacted support who ended up giving me 20$ to compensate time required to migrate. was honestly not expecting that, 1 free month of usage! then on top of that, already had 40$ on my account there so that's just great. 3 months without having to worry about payments.
digital ocean = best VPS provider, hands down
not really sure if this is computer related (studio mics are computer peripherals, i guess) but my friends and I needed to make a vocal booth so we yelled into my couch

I have to say I never experienced support as to the point and uncomplicated as this one, straight to the point, no delays, they even left a little .txt on the desktop saying "nice games", probably because they discovered Hotline Miami.

For me, I just replace the hard drive to the one it originally arrived in.
When I send a laptop in I pull the drive and put one with a factory reset OS in instead. Oh and I put a folder on the desktop that says "porn" and I put a text file saying "Nice try" inside.

Keyboard, some buttons stopped responding randomly.
I cleaned the system of any valuable data before I sent it in, however they resinstalled a few drivers and did the usual mumbo-jumbo, reactivated some autostart lenovo programs and all that jazz and I figured I needed them to have access because well how else would the figure out what the problem with the keys was.

You can still use the older malwarebytes clients and download the new definitions just fine, can't stand the new design so I use a old client so I can do custom directory scans; handy as fuck for getting rid of shit on customers bloated all to hell HDDs.

Sure it might never be seen again, depending on how the investigation goes, but it's an option if you want to fight CP/ruin someone's day.
You realize you guys are admitting to illegal possession of child pornography, because if you don't report it immediately you are commiting the crime yourself.
The thing is, if you are aware there's CP on it, and don't report it to the police, you can get into legal trouble if the police finds out.
