But is it not cheaper by just buying it straight up?
Here it's usually $200+ if you buy with a contract

If you buy flagships its about that here as well. However, many carriers won't reduce your bill if you BYOD. So if your willing to commit to that carrier, you may as well get it on contract. However, if you go prepaid with an MVNO, that's an entirely different story.
The Galaxy S5 also has the traditions of samsung, where they use shitty plastic that's weaker than sandwich wrap to make the phone.
Didnt's samsung once say their next would use an aluminium case?
Edit:
Looks like it was just a rumor that has spread.
my note2 is glitching out like crazy, but i still don't know what rom to put on it

One of those viruses that encrypt all your stuff?
[editline]2nd June 2014[/editline]
That stuff just spooks me, and is the reason I keep my important things (photos videos and documents) backed up online.

Is the note 2 supposed to have the playstore by default?
I got one recently from a relative, which only seems to have "samsung store" around.

I think only Cryptolocker actually encrypts anything, a lot are just fullscreen popups you can safemode out of

i've uninstalled/disabled all the bloatware that i can

I would expect others doing the same following the "success" of cryptolocker.
But it makes sense that many might only be faking it to trick stupid people.

Alot of them make safe mode unusable.
If safe mode is unusable, minixp with autoruns ftw
If safe mode is unusable, minixp with autoruns ftw
That works but sometimes the virus can replace something critical and mini xp could delete it, you have to be very careful.
I wish they didn't ditch the repair install option from XP.

There's always these reports that buying the phone outright and getting a plan is cheaper than getting one on contract given the fact that you stick with the same carrier with the same plan (with maybe discount of some sort because you brought your own phone) for the same amount of time.
Remember carriers are still making money either way and will still make slightly more to provide the service of letting you pay off the phone monthly for 2-3 years instead of dropping down $600-800 for it right away.
Some carriers and probably most countries don't even have contracts systems like in USA, Canada and various EU countries. Some are pre-paid only and you must buy your phone unlocked from either their store or get it somewhere else.

so you buy your phones from a provider no matter what?
that sounds stupid
here you just go to the nearest store and buy a phone, then order a contract

hmmmm... i have an u2711 right now, should i buy an used one for $375? pretty good price

well on a second thought it would look really stupid having only two huge screens
I think only Cryptolocker actually encrypts anything, a lot are just fullscreen popups you can safemode out of
As far as I know, there's several that do so, but some do a shit job at it so you can decrypt without paying money.
Cryptolocker is well known because it's really good at encrypting files and being uncrackable.
Anyone know of a good program like Hyperdesktop? That you press hotkeys to either capture entire screen, or just screen region and then it uploads to imgur and copies the link to the clipboard? Hyperdesktop stopped working two days ago.

What. No. Where did I say or imply that?
There's many places to buy your phone from.
puush
links auto copy to clipboard upon upload
Doesn't that have a space limit though?

ShareX.
ShareX + Picasa Web Albums (G+) best
15gb of space, images under 2048x2048 don't count towards limit, files never expire
Pepper;44971488']I had a HDD go on me an hour ago, the PC wouldn't even POST with it in :v
Good thing it was a small junker drive.

The molex plug powers two 120mm delta fans, the tachometer signals go to the fan headers on the board while splitting the CPU PWM signal to both fans.
I only butchered four fans making the thing.
I bought me one of them Sculpt Ergonomic mice. They're awesome. Fits well in my massive hand and having a Windows key right there on my mouse is hella nice.
It looks like a really really big egg that someone has taken a nice chunk of out it.
It does look really weird. I don't like how it looks. But between an ergonomic mouse or one of Logitech's mice that are covered in buttons I'll never use, I think I'll go for an ergonomic mouse. And it actually works well for gaming, too. Killed some Nazis in the new Wolfenstein just fine.

While I do agree that Logitech's mice are covered in buttons no one will ever use, I still feel like they nailed down the G700 as one of the most comfy, practical mouse designs in existence because of its wireless-wired functionality.
But I haven't tried any ergonomic mice, so.
I had a G500 before and aside from the cable shorting out (my entire reason for buying the new mouse) it was pretty good, and pretty comfortable. I loved the weight, and that's a good thing about the giant fuckoff mouse. Also I've replaced the batteries twice in my Microsoft mouse at work, and I've had that mouse for a year, so if that's any indication of the battery life I'll get on the new mouse...
